Latest on NEET 2021 counselling: Round 2 registration from February 16, check date, fee, and documents required

NEET 2021 counselling dates have been finally announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). A long delay had made the candidates anxious since the NEET 2021 result was declared on November 1. This year, there will be four rounds of counselling, which means that there will be an additional round of counselling - Online Stray Vacancy Round. The Round 1 of the NEET UG 2021 counselling has been concluded. Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to report to the institutes by February 9. The Round 2 registration process will commence on February 16. MCC has also revised the schedule of the NEET UG 2021 counselling.
At first, the provisional result of NEET 2021 Round 1 counselling was released on January 27 but was revoked due to the Madras High Court hearing of a case. This led to the reopening of the Round 1 registration window from January 28 to January 30. After that, the Round 1 result was declared on February 1, which was again revoked due to an error in the BDS seat matrix of IMS, BHU. The final and revised seat allocation result of Round 1 was declared on February 2.
MCC is conducting the NEET 2021 counselling for admission to 100 per cent seats in Deemed and Central University, JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research), AIIMS (All India Institute Of Medical Science), ESIC, and AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) seats and to 15 per cent seats in all government medical and dental colleges.

Candidates have to register for the NEET 2021 counselling in online mode by visiting the official website - mcc.nic.in. The detailed steps are given below:
- Visit the official website of MCC.
- Click on the link or tab indicating NEET UG Counselling 2021.
- Enter the mandatory details such as name, registration number, personal details, academic details and the details mentioned on their NEET result.
- Pay the registration fee as per your category.
NEET 2021 Counselling - Documents Required
The following documents have to be uploaded during the registration process, which will be verified by the officials:
- NEET admit card 2021
- NEET result 2021 or rank letter
- Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
- Valid, non-expired and government-issued photo ID proof
- Six to eight passport-sized photographs (preferably the same as the one submitted with the NEET 2021 application form)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- Provisional allotment letter
The NEET 2021 counselling process is for admission into MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), BSC Nursing, BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), BVSc&AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry), and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) courses.
