The High Court of Madhya Pradesh has asked a Government Medical College to give an appointment letter to the petitioner who was declared to be a successful candidate for the post of Assistant Professor but was not given the appointment letter.
Justice Sanjay Dwivedi directed the concerned authority to issue her the appointment letter within 15 days of receiving the Court's order which stated, "In view of the above, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to take appropriate step for giving appointment to the selected candidates including the petitioner without wasting any further time. It is expected that aforesaid exercise shall be carried out within a period of 15 days from submitting copy of this order," as reported by Live Law.
Background of the case
The petitioner has claimed in the plea that she had appeared for the interview round for the post of Assistant Professor in a GMC at District Vidisha. She alleged that due to some political pressure, the concerned authority was trying to recruit some other candidate instead of her.
