The Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2024 Round 1 seat allotment result has been declared by CET Cell Maharashtra. The institute reporting process is underway from November 30 to December 4, 2024, 5.30 PM. As many as 6,237 candidates have been allotted seats.

The Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2024 Round 1 seat allotment result has been declared by CET Cell Maharashtra. The institute reporting process is underway from November 30 to December 4, 2024, 5.30 PM. As many as 6,237 candidates have been allotted seats.

Originally the date to declare the Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 Counselling Round 1 result was November 28, 2024, but it was postponed by two days. The institute reporting last date has also been extended by a day, from December 3 to December 4, 2024.

CET Cell Maharashtra has stated, “Last date to fill the Status Retention Form is 04/12/2024 upto 5:30 pm in person. The admitting Institute will verify the documents and ascertain eligibility of the candidates as per the NEET(PG)- 2024 brochure before confirming the admission. At the time of Physical Reporting, the candidate will have to deposit all the required original documents and pay the fees.”

Q:   Which body conducts Maharashtra NEET PG counselling?

A:

Maharashtra NEET PG counselling process is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. The state counselling authority for Maharashtra conducts the admission process for postgraduate medical and dental courses offered in the state under the 50 per cent State Quota seats. Candidates who qualify for the NEET PG and NEET MDS exams are eligible to participate in this state counselling. Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2024 is the gateway to admission to courses such as MD, MS and MDS. 

Q:   Is it possible to participate in Maharashtra NEET PG counselling and national-level counselling simultaneously?

A:

Yes, it is possible to participate in both Maharashtra NEET PG counselling as well as the national-level NEET PG or NEET MDS counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). However, in case a candidate is allotted a seat in either of the counsellings and he/she accepts the seat by institute reporting and document verification, then that candidate will not be eligible to participate in further rounds of counselling or the other counselling type. Hence, candidates must carefully assess the admission options and then take the final decision. 

Q:   Which courses are offered through Maharashtra NEET PG counselling?

A:

All postgraduate medical and dental courses, including Diploma courses are offered through the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling. The list of courses are given below:

  • Master of Surgery (MS)
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD)
  • Master of Dental Surgery
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Medicine
