MBBS Student Booked for Allegedly Misbehaving with Doon Hospital’s HoD; Details

The 3rd-year MBBS student was reportedly fierce over the low attendance notice issued to him. He entered the office of the Department of Gynaecology and allegedly misbehaved with the Gynaecology HoD. 

Doon Hospital Doctor Assaulted

Doon University's Gynaecology HoD was allegedly assaulted by a 3rd year MBBS student. As per the reports, The student entered the office of the Head of the Department of Gynaecology and misbehaved and abused the professor. Further, the student also has been accused of misbehaving with the security assistants when they tried to stop him during his unethical actions.

What Has Happened? 

Reportedly, the 3rd year MBBS student was furious over the low attendance notice issued to him. The student has been booked for allegedly misbehaving with HoD as well as the security staff. 

The incident has been reported by the police as Dr. Anura Agrawal, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, has lodged an FIR against the accused student, as reported by Medical Dialogues. 

"The student was taken under police custody for insulting, using offensive words and physical assault. The student was also involved in such acts previously as well." The Medical Superintendent, Dr. Agrawa said. 

One of the doctors from the hospital shared that the accused student furiously entered the HoD's office and started misbehaving with the HoD over a low attendance notice. When security heard the heated argument, they rushed to the cabin. When the officers tried to stop him, they were also abused and assaulted. 

The police department is supervising the matter and the officer in charge, Assistant Sub-Inspectior Gopal Singh Bisht said "A probe has been started during which people who are involved in the matter would be interrogated. As of now, nobody has been detained." As reported by TOI.
