MP Medical Education Minister launches Medical Knowledge Sharing Mission

On World Health Day, MP Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang launched the Medical Knowledge Sharing Mission.

For better health facilities in the state and to upgrade the knowledge of doctors and medical students, MP Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang has launched the Medical Knowledge Sharing Mission.

The mission was launched on World Health Day on April 7.

“The mission aims to facilitate new techniques, knowledge and valuable research findings among other things to doctors and medical students in the state,” Sarang said, as reported by The Print.

"Under the mission, memoranda of understanding will be signed with renowned hospitals, medical centres, research facilities across India and abroad to upgrade medical knowledge with the latest techniques, researches and treatment procedures," he added.

Digital platform to be developed to share knowledge

A knowledge exchange interactive digital platform will be developed through which doctors and medical students can share their experiences, researches and new developments in their field to improve health services, the minister said.

Training, capacity building, knowledge exchange, and exposure visit programme for medical students and doctors will also be planned as part of the mission, he added.

The minister said that the latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern software-based interfaces in the field of medical education and medical systems will be promoted. The use of 3-D printers to make operations and interventions more precise would be introduced.

He said that number of MBBS seats has doubled in the state in the last four years and various new dimensions are planned under the mission, as reported by TOI.
