National Institute of Siddha celebrates 18th Foundation Day

National Institute of Siddha organised its 18th foundation day yesterday. The institute was founded in 2005 by the former Prime Minister of India, and the foundation stone was laid in the year 1999.

The National Institute of Siddha (NIS) celebrated its 18th foundation day. The celebrations were inaugurated by Prof. Dr. R. Meenakumari, Director of NIS, who lit the traditional lamp and shared her insights.

"Celebrating 18 Glorious Years! National Institute of Siddha marked its 18th Foundation Day on 04/09/2023 with great fervor. Founded on 03/09/2005 by the former PM of India, this institute's journey began with the laying of its foundation stone on 27/03/1999," reads a tweet by NIS.

Faculty and staff cherished their NIS memories, and a captivating documentary showcased their journey. The day ended on a high note with mesmerizing cultural performances by the talented UG and PG students, said the official statement.

NIS announced the inauguration of the Standards Club for students in coordination with the Bureau of Indian Standards on September 4, 2023. The standards club for students was inaugurated by the BIS officials namely Mr. Jose Charles, Ms. Jayasri & Dr. P. Shanmugapriya from NIS.

The orientation program was given to the members of the Standards Club by Mr. Jose Charles, who is a BIS Empanelled auditor for Management System certifications with an experience of 35 yrs. The student members had a good discussion with the resource person.

Research papers invited for 2nd International Ayush Conference and Exhibition 2024

The last date to submit the abstracts is September 20, 2023. The conference will be held in Dubai from January 13 to January 15, 2024.
