NEET 2017 AIR 1, MAMC Medico Found Dead; No Suicide Note Found at Premises
Navdeep Singh, who secured AIR 1 in the NEET 2017 exam, was pursuing a Doctor of Medicine in Radiology course at Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi.
An MD Radiology student of Maulana Azad Medical College Delhi was found dead at the institute's hostel on Sunday. Reportedly, Navdeep Singh, who was a NEET topper secured AIR 1 in the 2017 National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET). The student was from the Muktsar district of Punjab committed suicide. On Sunday morning, the body of 25-year-old Navdeep Singh was found in Parsi Anjuman Guest Houses. As per the TOI report, no suicide note has been found near the body, leaving the circumstances and reason behind the MAMC doctor death unclear.
Reportedly, police have notified that Navdeep's father got stressed when his son didn't respond to numerous phone calls. Even after waiting for a long when Navdeep still didn't respond, He sent a friend to check on Navdeep. Subsequently, he reported that the door was locked from the inside. Upon breaking the door, the friend found Navdeep's body and police were informed afterwards. The police have started the enquiry. However, no suicide note has been found at the crime spot.
Fellow medicos of the MAMC community expressed their grief and shock at the doctor's death. The doctors expressed their condolences and support to the family. Some doctors reported multiple deaths by suicide in the past year that require urgent attention.

His presence will be profoundly missed, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace." Reads the RDA notification.
