Aspirants of NEET 2020 wait eagerly for the decision of NTA on the exam dates. The decision is now expected to be announced anytime as CBSE has cancelled the board examinations. The examinations have been cancelled until the time when the conditions will be conducive to conduct them. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has put the safety of the candidates above these examinations. Students are expecting the same from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Medical Council of India (MCI).

NTA had submitted to the Kerala HC on Tuesday, NEET 2020 cannot be conducted in an online mode. The authorities have also ruled out the possibilities of NEET 2020 exam centres in Gulf countries. However, the authorities have refrained from saying anything about the NEET exam dates 2020. The student community has been actively protesting against NEET 2020 exam being conducted on July 26.

There are a lot of reasons behind the appeal to postpone NEET 2020. Some of the most common reasons stated by the students are listed below:

  • Public transportation is not fully functional
  • Students from the containment areas may not be able to travel
  • Infected candidates may be barred from appearing for NEET 2020
  • The risk of contracting COVID-19 at the exam centres
  • Additional pressure on the candidates due to COVID-19 has derailed their preparation
