NEET 2020 Live Updates: Exam concludes; Answer Key, Analysis & Expected Cutoff soon

The National Testing Agency has concluded the NEET 2020 exam. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 was held today from 2 pm to 5 pm. NEET 2020 was conducted at 3,842 exam centres across the nation. Amid the ongoing pandemic, NTA had issued certain guidelines to be followed by students appearing for the medical entrance exam. This year, the medical exam was conducted by NTA following strict safety protocols. As mentioned on the NEET admit card 2020, candidates had to wear masks and gloves, report to the NEET exam centre according to their allotted time slots for phased entry. Candidates had to carry the duly filled unsigned NEET self-declaration form, NEET admit card, photo ID and the copy of the same photograph used during registration.

Nearly 16 lakh students, a total of 1,66,582 candidates from Uttar Pradesh, and 2,28,914 candidates from Maharashtra appeared for the examination today. Stay updated with the Live Updates of NEET 2020 below:

September 13, 4:45 pm: NEET 2020 will be over soon. Here's how candidates can calculate their score:
NEET 2020 Score = (4 x number of correct answers) - (1 x number of incorrect answers)
September 13, 4:30 pm: The OMR answer sheets need to be deposited by candidates at the end of the exam. As a precautionary measure to mitigate the spread of COVID19, NEET answer sheets will be opened after three days, i.e. on September 16.

September 13, 3:30 pm: Last year’s woman topper: Madhuri Reddy G, from Telangana, was the NEET topper in 2019 among women. She had attained All India Rank (AIR) 7 scoring 695 out of 720 marks. There were 20 women in the top 50 merit list.

September 13, 9:40 am: Exam day guidelines for parents:
- Parents are advised not to visit the exam centre with the candidates unless and until it is absolutely necessary. In case it is important for them to come to the exam centre, then they are requested to drop the candidates and leave the premises immediately
- Stand away from the barricades
- Maintain social distancing
- Do not form groups
- Don’t fall into any sort of discussions with other students/parents
- After the exam, wait for your child patiently. Do not panic
- Wearing a mask is mandatory all the time
September 13, 9:20 am: NTA has prescribed a specific dress code that all the candidates must follow. The NEET dress code is a measure to prevent the use of unfair means in the medical entrance examination. Restrictions on the size of buttons, sleeves, and shoe-soles are all geared toward preventing the use of modern technology in cheating.
September 13, 8:30 am: NEET 2020 dress code for girls:
- Wear a face mask and gloves
- Do not wear clothes with full sleeves, flowers, brooches, elaborate embroidery, or large buttons
- Jeans with big pockets, heels are not allowed
- Avoid wearing any kind of jewellery - nose rings, earrings, pendants, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and anklets
September 13, 8:20 am: NEET 2020 dress code for boys:
- Wearing face masks and gloves is compulsory
- Candidates are allowed to wear half-sleeve shirts and T-shirts. Full sleeve shirts are strictly NOT allowed
- It is important to wear light clothes. Zip pockets, big buttons, clothes with elaborate embroidery are not allowed
- Candidates can wear trousers and simple pants
- Wearing closed shoes is strictly prohibited. Male candidates are allowed to wear slippers or other simple footwear with thin soles
September 13, 8:10 am: Punjab government has lifted the Sunday lockdown in the state for September 13 to facilitate free movement of students appearing for the medical examination.
September 13, 8:00 am: In West Bengal, NEET examination will be conducted at 25 exam centres in Siliguri today, amid strict precaution against COVID-19. 1,500 students will appear in the examination at this centre, informed Director of Siliguri Institute of Technology.
