Over 14 lakh candidates appeared for NEET 2020 amidst an ongoing pandemic. NTA has announced the NEET 2020 results on ntaneet.nic.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for NEET 2020 today. NTA has upload NEET 2020 result on its official website and candidates can check their ranks by entering the login credentials. NTA has released a combined NEET result 2020 for both the phases. Candidates must also note that the final answer key for NEET 2020 was also uploaded in the afternoon. NEET 2020 cut offs will also be announced shortly.
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, NEET 2020 was conducted in two phases. Phase-1 of NEET 2020 was conducted on September 13. However, nearly 15 per cent of the applicants could not appear for the examination on the said test date. To ensure that such candidates do no suffer academic loss, NTA conducted a retest, or NEET 2020 phase-2, on October 14.

12:30 pm: What is the tie-break criteria for NEET 2020 result?
- The candidate who has scored more in the Biology section is ranked higher
- When marks in the Biology section are equal, the candidate who has scored more in the Chemistry section is ranked higher
- If the above parameters are equal, the candidate with fewer negative responses is ranked higher
- If the tie still persists, the candidate who is older in age will be ranked higher

11:30 am: Centre announces reservation for victims of terror attacks in AIQ quota
Children of terror attack victims will now get a reservation for MBBS/BDS admissions in India. The reserved seats will be from the central pool of seats, also known as the all India quota seats.

10:45 am: How to calculate marks obtained in NEET 2020?
According to the marking system for NEET 2020, candidates will be awarded four marks for every correct answer and one mark shall be deducted per incorrect answer. If a candidate has two or more answers in the OMR sheet for a single question, such question shall be considered as incorrect. Marks will neither be awarded or deducted for the questions left unattempted.

NEET cut off is the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score in order to qualify the examination. NEET 2020 cut off will be released soon after the announcement of the result. Experts suggest that NEET cut off 2020 may be higher this year due to a prolonged preparation time.

According to the test takers, the Physics section of NEET 2020 phase-2 was difficult compared to the phase-1. However, the Biology and Chemistry section were comparatively easier this time.

General category candidates need to score a minimum 50th percentile in NEET 2020 to qualify for MBBS/BDS courses. Candidates who belong to the reserved categories need to score a minimum 40th percentile. Lastly, PwD candidates need to score 45th percentile or more to qualify.
