NEET 2021 Counselling Round 2: MCC withdraws 10 MBBS seats of ESIC medical college
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has withdrawn 10 MBBS seats from AIQ quota for NEET 2021 Counselling Round 2 seat matrix of ESIC medical college, Bengaluru.
Through a recent notification, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed about its decision to withdraw 10 MBBS seats of ESIC medical college in Bengaluru.
MCC notification says, "This for the information to all the participating candidates in UG Counselling 2021 that as in reference of letter dated 18.02.2022 received from Deputy Director (ME), ESIC, New Delhi wherein they have decided to withdraw 10 seats from AIQ quota from UG Round-2 Counselling seat matrix of ESIC Medical College, Bengaluru in order to contribute the same in State Quota. Accordingly, it has been decided to reduce 10 seats of MBBS from ESIC Medical College, Bengaluru as in the table mentioned below."
"Hence, the final number of seats of ESIC Medical College, Bengaluru in Round-2 of AIQ Counselling would be 19 seats," added the MCC notification.
Deputy Director (ME), ESIC, New Delhi, letter on February 18 says, "I am directred to refer your letter cited above. In this connection it is to inform that ESIC agrees to withdraw 10 seats of EWS of ESIC Medical College, Bengaluru from the All India Quota (AIQ) so that these seats can be filled under State Govt. Quota. It is also clarified that 10 EWS quota seats of State Quota were added to the All India Quota in this academic year i.e. 2021-22 in line with seat matrix for the year 2020-21 which was based on the letter dated 05.11.2020 from Director of Medical Education, Govt. of Karnataka to the Dean, ESIC Medical College & PGIMSR Rajajinagar, Bengaluru."
