NEET 2021 will be conducted on September 12 across 198 cities in India. The application process will commence on July 13, 5 pm at NTA websites. The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced via tweet.

NEET 2021 will be conducted on September 12 in 198 cities across India. Newly appointed Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the much-awaited NEET 2021 exam date via tweets on June 12. The NEET 2021 application process will commence on June 13, 2021, from 5 pm onwards on the official NTA website. The other NEET 2021 important dates have not been announced yet.

The number of exam cities where NEET 2021 will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of exam cities will also be increased. The details will be mentioned on the NEET 2021 information bulletin, which will be released along with the application forms.

The Ministers’ Tweet stated, β€œThe NEET (UG) 2021 will be held on 12th September 2021 across the country following COVID-19 protocols. The application process will begin from 5 pm tomorrow through the NTA website(s).”

He also added, β€œIn order to ensure social distancing norms, number of cities where examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3862 centres used in 2020.”

COVID-19 safety protocols will be maintained across the NEET 2021 exam centres. β€œTo ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face mask will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc. will also be ensured,” The Union Education Minister tweeted.

Notably, last year NEET was conducted on September 13. The release of the dates have brought assurance among NEET aspirants and has brought an end to the long-drawn speculations and anxiety among students.
