NTA has announced the NEET 2022 provisional answer key and result dates to be out next week. Know the important dates, procedure to challenge and other important details at regular intervals here on this page.
NEET answer key 2022 will be declared on August 26 and the NEET 2022 result will be declared on September 7. NTA was expected to release the provisional NEET 2022 answer keys in early August but the process got delayed by over two weeks. In a first, NTA has announced the dates of the key events such as NEET answer key and NEET results in advance. This page brings to you the latest updates on NEET 2022 answer key and NEET result dates and key information here.
NTA will also open the NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheet challenge window on August 30. The dates and procedure will be announced later. NEET 2022 was conducted on July 17 at 3,570 exam centres located across 497 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. Over 18 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.

Reservation of AIQ Seats in NEET 2022
The Government of India has implemented 27 per cent OBC reservation (Non-Creamy Layer) and 10 per cent EWS reservation in 15 per cent Under Graduate (UG) All India Quota seats (MBBS/BDS) (contributed by the State/UTs to the Central Pool) in the selection of candidates through NEET UG counselling for MBBS. NEET 2022 Tie Breaking Policy
In case of two or more candidates obtain equal marks/percentile scores in the NEET 2022, the inter-se-merit will be determined as follows:
a. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test, followed by,
b. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry in the test, followed by,
c. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Physics in the test, followed by,
d. Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test,
e. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test, followed by
f. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the test, followed by

NEET 2022 Merit List
NTA will evaluate the NEET 2022 Answer Sheets of candidates using standard procedure and the result will be displayed on the official website of NEET. Candidates will have to log in to download their scorecards. NTA will prepare the Merit List/ All India Rank (AIR) as per Qualifying Criteria and other norms as well as the relevant regulations/ guidelines of the counselling authorities.

NEET 2022 Percentile Calculation Method
NTA would provide percentiles of candidates along with scores out of 720. The percentile would be calculated based on the following formula.

No Option for Re-evaluation Post Final NEET Answer Key Release
Once the final NEET 2022 answer keys and results are declared, candidates will not be given the chance to re-evaluation or rechecking of their exam papers. NTA has stated the following reasons for this:
i. The OMRs are machine gradable and are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.
ii. The candidates are given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any doubt.

What is a Good Score in NEET?
A good score in NEET is relative and varies from student to student, based on their performance. Students who have performed well will consider a score above 600 a good score in NEET 2022. On the other hand, those who did not perform well would consider a score of 400 to be good. In a generic sense, a score in the range of 600 to 720 is considered the best. NEET score above 500 is considered good. On the other hand, a score of 400 to 500 would be considered to be average. A score below 400 is considered to be poor.

NEET 2022 Answer Keys to be Out of over 24 Papers
NTA will release as many as 24 NEET 2022 answer key documents. Since there were four NEET 2022 question paper sets, which further had six sub-sets, the answer keys will be separate for all 24 question papers. The NEET 2022 question paper sets were:
