NEET 2022 Answer Key, Result Date Live Updates: NTA Confirms Answer Key on 30 Aug and Result on September 7

The following information will be printed on the scorecard:

Candidates have to check their NEET result 2022 and download the scorecards in online mode, by following the steps given below.

• Go to the official website of neet.nta.nic.in 
• Navigate to the 'View Result' tab

NTA will release the NEET UG 2022 result on September 7 in an online mode. Candidates will be able to download their scorecards by logging in to the official website.

The Government of India has implemented 27 per cent OBC reservation (Non-Creamy Layer) and 10 per cent EWS reservation in 15 per cent Under Graduate (UG) All India Quota seats (MBBS/BDS) (contributed by the State/UTs to the Central Pool) in the selection of candidates through NEET UG counselling for MBBS. This reservation took effect from the current Academic session 2021-22.

In case of two or more candidates obtain equal marks/percentile scores in the NEET 2022, the inter-se-merit will be determined as follows:

a. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test, followed by,

b. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry in the test, followed by,

c. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Physics in the test, followed by,

d. Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test,

e. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test, followed by

f. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the test, followed by

g. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the test, followed by

h. Candidate older in age, followed by

i. Application number in ascending order

NTA would provide percentiles of candidates along with scores out of 720. The percentile would be calculated based on the following formula.

NEET Percentile = 100 x Number of candidates with their raw score equal to/ less than the candidate

                                                       Total number of candidates who appeared for NEET

Once the final NEET 2022 answer keys and results are declared, candidates will not be given the chance to re-evaluation or rechecking of their exam papers. NTA has stated the following reasons for this:

i. The OMRs are machine gradable and are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.

ii. The candidates are given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any doubt.

A good score in NEET is relative and varies from student to student, based on their performance. Students who have performed well will consider a score above 600 a good score in NEET 2022. On the other hand, those who did not perform well would consider a score of 400 to be good. In a generic sense, a score in the range of 600 to 720 is considered the best. NEET score above 500 is considered good. On the other hand, a score of 400 to 500 would be considered to be average. A score below 400 is considered to be poor.

NEET cutoff 2022 is largely influenced by the following five factors:

• Total number of candidates who appear for the examination
• The difficulty level of the examination
• Performance of the candidates
• Number of seats available
• NEET cutoff for previous years

NEET 2022 received 18.72 lakh total registrations. The exam recorded 95 per cent attendance. This refers that around 18 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam across the centres.

The NEET cutoff marks vary in each year. The NEET cutoff marks range for each candidate category is given below:

The NEET 2022 cutoff is expected be higher compared to last year since the number of test takers was higher this year.

The NEET 2022 cutoff will be released along with the result. The NEET cutoff percentile remains the same for each year. The below table brings the category-wise cutoff for NEET.

This is the qualifying cutoff for NEET, obtaining which the candidates will be eligible to participate in the NEET counselling rounds.

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to download the NEET 2022 scorecard once the result is declared:

• Visit the official website of NEET - neet.nta.nic.in
• Click on the 'NEET 2022 Scorecar' tab
• Enter NEET 2022 application number and date of birth
• Enter Security Pin
• Click on Submit
• Download the NEET 2022 scorecard in PDF format

After the declaration of the NEET 2022 answer keys, candidates will have to calculate their scores using the following method:

• Add four marks for each correct answer
• Deduct one mark for each incorrect answer
• Calculate the final marks out of 720

The NEET result is generally released within 15 to 20 days of releasing the NEET answer keys. The following table brings the past years' trends of NEET result dates.

Over the past five years, NEET answer keys were released within 25 to 30 days of conducting the exam. This year, the date was extended beyond a month of conducting the exam. The following table brings the schedule of NEET exam and provisional answer key release.

NEET 2022 was conducted in 13 languages in English and Hindi. Till 2020, NEET was conducted in 11 languages and two languages were added in 2021. The NEET 2022 question paper languages or mediums are as follows:

NEET 2022 was conducted in 13 languages including English. The answer keys for the regional language NEET papers will also be declared by NTA. The 13 languages in which the NEET 2022 exam was conducted are as follows:

NTA will release as many as 24 NEET 2022 answer key documents. Since there were four NEET 2022 question paper sets, which further had six sub-sets, the answer keys will be separate for all 24 question papers. The NEET 2022 question paper sets were:

• Q (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6)
• R (R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6)
• S (S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6) and
• T (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6)

Apart from the above sets, NEET answer keys for the 12 regional language question papers will also be released.

NTA will upload the NEET 2022 question papers for all languages, codes and sets on the official website of the exam as well as NTA after the release of the answer keys. To download the NEET question paper PDFs, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

After the conduct of the NEET 2022 exam on July 17, experts from top coaching institutes released the NEET answer keys 2022 for each set and code within a few hours of the conclusion of the test. Although these answer keys can be referred by students to know their accuracy, these cannot be considered as official answer keys for NEET.

Although majority of the students are relieved by the announcement of the NEET 2022 answer key and result dates, some of them are still demanding a retest for NEET 2022, especially those who faced mismanagement at the exam centres. NTA is yet to confirm or update on the status of NEET 2022 retest.

Although the students or test-takers were constantly demanding updates from NTA on the NEET 2022 result and answer key dates, some of them expressed their stress as they realised that the NEET result will be declared in the next 10 days. This is the first time since NTA is conducting the undergraduate medical entrance exam that the date for releasing the NEET answer keys and result has been announced in advance. So far NTA released the answer keys or result of NEET directly and then notified the candidates and stakeholders. 

The NEET 2022 official answer keys were expected in the first week of August, or within August 17, a month of conducting the exam. The unwarranted delay caused anxiety and tension among the test-takers. They took to social media platforms like Twitter to express their concern. Sample the Tweet below.

Candidates submitting NEET 2022 answer key objections will not be individually announced about the status of their answer key challenges. They may find out the status of their answer key objections in the NEET 2022 final answer key which will be released on September 7.

NTA will set up an expert panel which will consist of subject matter experts for reviewing and verifying each of the NEET 2022 answer key objections/challenge received. Based on the challenges, final answer keys and NEET 2022 result will be computed.

There is no limit to the number of NEET 2022 answer key challenge submission. Candidates can submit challenges or objections against as many questions as they wish. The fee of INR 200 will be applicable for each question. 

NEET 2022 provisional answer keys are something which is released by NTA and indicate the correct answer options. This is uniform data and is applicable to all candidates. On the other hand, the NEET 2022 OMR sheets are individual documents which are separate for each candidate. the NEET 2022 OMR sheets would be separate for each candidate. Although everyone will be able to check the NEET provisional answer keys 2022, those who have not appeared for the exam will not be able to download the NEET 2022 OMR sheets.

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to challenge the NEET 2022 answer keys:

• Visit the NEET 2022 official website – neet.nta.nic.in

• Click ‘Apply for Answer Key Challenge (s)’

• Select the Test Booklet Code

• Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter SecurityPin as displayed and Submit

• Check the Questions and Answer Options in Sequential Order

• The number next to the Question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the NEET 2022 Answer Key

• To challenge this option, candidates may use any one or more of the Options given in the next four columns by clicking the check box

• Supporting documents can be uploaded as a single PDF file by clicking on the ‘Choose File’ option

• After clicking the desired option, for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2022, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen

• Click on ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally’

• After successful payment, applicants will have to download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt

Note: The above procedure is that of last year, it may be changed this year.

In case you forget the NEET 2022 Application Number, follow the steps given below:

• Visit the NEET 2022 official website - neet.nta.nic.in
• Click on the tab indicating NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheet download
• Click on Forgot Password/Application Number tab
• Enter the mandatory information or compulsory questions
• The NEET 2022 application number will be displayed on screen or sent via email

Another alternative is to search the mail from NTA in your mailbox and fetch the NEET 2022 application number. 

In order to download the NEET 2022 OMR sheet scanned copy on their email, candidates must ensure that their registered email id is properly functional and active. They must clear all cache and cookies and ensure that the mails from NTA does not end up in the Spam folder.

To download the NEET 2022 answer keys from the exam website, candidates will have to log in with the following information:

• NEET 2022 Application Number
• Date of Birth 
• Security Pin (to be auto-generated)

The fee amount of INR 200 for submitting the NEET 2022 answer key challenges is non-refundable, even if the answer key objections are found to be valid. "Candidates will be given an opportunity to make an online challenge against the provisional Answer Key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 per answer challenged, within a specified period as indicated in the Public Notice," stated NTA in the official notification.

Candidates will have to pay the NEET 2022 Answer Key and OMR Sheet challenge fee of INR 200 in online mode only. The accepted modes of payment are as follows:

• Credit Card
• Debit Card
• Net Banking
• Paytm

It is expected that the NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheet objection filing window will be open for around three days. Last year, the objection window opened on October 15 and the last date to submit the objections and challenges was October 17.

NEET 2022 answer key and OMR sheet objection filing process is likely to remain the same as last year. Candidates will have to raise challenge in online mode only. The NEET answer key and OMR sheet challenge fees also need to be pain in online modes. 

The provisional NEET official answer key 2022 is yet to be announced by NTA. It is expected that the detailed procedure will be announced on August 30, along with releasing the provisional answer keys of NEET 2022.

NTA has announced the date of releasing the NEET 2022 result, which is September 7. Candidates will be able to download their scorecards in PDF format from the official exam website and their email. 

Last year, the fee to challenge the NEET answer keys was INR 1,000. This year, the fee amount has been substantially reduced by INR 800. NTA has not stated any particular reason for reducing the answer key challenge fee amount.

The fee amount for submitting challenges or objections against the NEET 2022 provisional answer keys and OMR sheets is INR 200. The fee is same for both the challenge categories. 

NTA has not yet announced the last date to challenge the NEET 2022 answer key. The officials will announce the dates and procedure to challenge or file objections against the NEET 2022 provisional answer keys and OMR sheet responses on August 30, along with releasing the documents.

NEET 2022 provisional answer key and OMR sheet challenge process will also start on August 30, along with the release of these critical documents on the official website and registered email ids. 

NTA has announced that the NEET 2022 Provisional Answer Keys, Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Responses will be uploaded on the official website of the exam, which is https://neet.nta.nic.in/.

The NEET 2022 OMR sheets will also be sent to the candidates on their registered email id by NTA on August 30. The scanned OMR response sheet will be sent to them either in PDF or JPG format. 

Along with the provisional NEET answer keys 2022, NTA will also release the NEET 2022 OMR sheets of candidates on August 30, the same date as releasing the NEET official answer keys.

NEET 2022 answer keys (provisional) will be released by NTA on August 30.
