A NEET 2022 aspirant reportedly died due to suicide in Tamil Nadu, he was found hanging from the ceiling of his house.

Yet another case of medical aspirants' suicide is reported from Tamil Nadu due to the pressure of the upcoming NEET 2022 exam. P. Dhanush was 19 years old medical aspirant who was found hanging from the ceiling of his house.

As per reports, Dhanush was rushed to KMC Hospital where he was declared brought dead. He was preparing for NEET 2022 and had failed NEET in his earlier attempts.

As per Times Now report, his parents are daily wage earners.

All India Students Dental Association/DENTODONTICS tweeted, "A Video showing the cry & pain through which that family is going. A Tamil Student Today did suicide Who will wipe those heartwrenching tears? Why gov is, so ignorant? Lakhs of #NEETUG2022 Aspirant demand postponement"

Amid the ongoing demand for NEET 2022 postponement, incidents like these highlight the pressure the medical aspirants go through.

Tamil Nadu trying hard for exemption from NEET 

Last year also, a few cases were reported from the state where young NEET aspirants reportedly committed suicide due to fear of entrance examination. Chief Minister MK Stalin-led government has been demanding exemption from NEET 2022 and the government opines that this particular entrance examination favours students from affluent backgrounds and there is hardly any scope for poor aspirants.

The NEET Exemption bill passed by the state Cabinet has been sent to the Centre for getting the Presidential assent. Meanwhile, despite Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan having cleared the air on NEET 2022 postponement and stated that the entrance examination will be conducted on the schedule i.e. July 17, the aspirants are still demanding exam deferment.
