NEET 2022 Notification Likely By March 10

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NEET 2022 notification around March 10. As per earlier media reports, it was speculated that the NEET 2022 will be announced by the last week of February or the first week of March. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the exam yet. As per the latest media reports, the Medical Advisory Council of the National Medical Commission has asked NTA is to conduct the NEET 2022 exam in the third or fourth week of June.

According to an official present in the meeting, NEET 2022 will continue to be held on a single day and slot window for a duration of three hours. The exam pattern is also likely to remain the same as last year. The registration process is expected to commence in the first week of April. Along with NEET 2022, NTA will also announce the schedule for JEE Main and CUCET exams.

Highlights of NEET 2021

Last year, NEET was conducted on September 12 in 200 cities across India and two international cities – Dubai and Kuwait. Out of 16.14 lakh registrations, 15.44 lakh candidates appeared for the exam and 8,70,074 candidates qualified. The exam pattern had also undergone major changes in terms of the exam pattern.

The question paper included a total of 200 questions, out of which candidates had to attempt 180 questions from three subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each subject was further divided into two sections wherein Section A carried 35 questions, Section B carried 15 questions. All questions are compulsory in Section A whereas in Section B, 10 out of 15 questions have to be attempted.
