With just a day left for NEET 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an advisory for the candidates. The advisory is the list of tips and exam day guidelines which must be followed on the day of the exam and test takers should take the requisite preparation accordingly.

Around 18 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam to be held in 497 cities across India and 14 cities abroad. The admit card for NEET 2022 was released on July 12 which carries the information on the exam date, reporting and gate closing time, exam centre address and exam day guidelines. Here we bring to you the exam day advisory issued by NTA.

NEET 2022 Exam Day Advisory by NTA

Take a look at the Dos and Don'ts issued by NTA for the NEET 2022 exam day.

  • Carry at least two printouts of the NEET 2022 admit card to the exam centre. Paste your latest coloured postcard size photograph (4” x 6’) on the space provided. The photograph pasted should be the same as the one printed on the admit card.

  • The filled-up Self Declaration Undertaking must be carried along with the signature.

  • Ensure that signature of parent is done on the designated space. Candidate signature should be done in presence of the invigilator only.

  • Your left-hand thumb impression has to be put on the space provided and it should not be smudged.

  • Report to the exam centre by 12.30 pm. The gates will close at 1.30 pm.

  • To ensure timely reporting to the NEET 2022 exam centre, you may visit the centre in advance to estimate the commute time and mode.

  • Along with the NEET 2022 hall ticket, carry a passport size photograph (same as that uploaded in the application form), a valid photo identity card such as the PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card/Class 12 Admit card.

  • In the exam centre, you will have to sign the attendance sheet twice, in presence of the invigilator. In case there is a signature only once, it would be deemed that such candidates have not submitted the OMR sheet or have been involved in unfair means.

  • Submit the OMR sheet to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall and carry only the test booklet.

  • Biometric attendance of candidates is mandatory and a hologram will be affixed on the Admit Card once it is done.

Items Allowed to be Carried to the Exam Centre

Candidates will be allowed to carry the following items to the NEET exam centre:

  • Personal transparent water bottle

  • Additional photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet, which should be the same as that printed on the admit card

  • Admit Card, Self Declaration Undertaking and Photo Identity Card among mandatory documents

Items Not Allowed to be Carried to the Exam Centre

Candidates will not be allowed to carry the following items to the exam centre:

  • Personal belongings including electronic devices

  • Stationary items or books

  • Food items or drinks other than water (unless a candidate is diabetic or has any health condition)

  • Jewellery or accessory

COVID-19 Advisory

As a precaution for COVID-19, candidates will have to follow the below-mentioned protocols:

  • Practice social distancing

  • Use N-95 mask throughout the duration spent at the centre

  • Use hand sanitiser frequently

  • Cover mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing

     

NEET 2022 will be conducted in a paper-pencil-based mode in 13 languages from 2 pm to 3.20 pm. The answer keys are expected to be released by the first week of August and the result is likely to be announced in September.
