NEET 2022 Postpone: Aspirants Write to Union Education Minister to Defer Exam
Aspirants have written a fresh letter to the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan with a demand to postpone NEET 2022. However, the exam authorities have not responded to their demands yet which were raised in April.
NEET 2022 postpone demand continues as the students write a fresh letter to the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan requesting to defer the NEET 2022 exam from July 17. Studentsโ demand for NEET 2022 to be postponed had started with the announcement of the exam on April 6 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). While there has been a mass petition filed against NTA and aspirants and their parents took their plea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this time, they have addressed their concerns to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The letter has been doing the rounds in various social media platforms with hashtags like #PostponeNEETUG, #JusticeforNEETUG, #MODIJiDeferNEETUG, among others are trending. In the letter to Dharmendra Pradhan, students have cited the reasons for their plea to defer the exam by at least four to six weeks.
Aspirants have written in the letter mentions, โPursuing MBBS and becoming a doctor is a dream of lakhs of students and the emotions of their parents and teachers are connected with this exam. But due the declaration of premature dates, they have started to give up on their dreams. Please allocate them an adequate amount of time so that they can prepare well for the exam.โ

The reasons cited by them include clashing of the exam with JEE Main, CUET and Board exams, and less time for preparation for droppers due to conduct of NEET 2021 counselling till April, to name a few.
Will NTA Postpone NEET 2022?
Earlier, more than 10,000 candidates and their parents had written to NTA appealing for deferring the NEET UG 2022 exam. However, NTA has not given any assurance to postpone NEET 2022. In fact, with the events have been conducted as per the original schedule, except an extension of the application process and the reopening of the application correction window.

There is still a slight ray of hope for the aspirants until the NEET 2022 admit card is released. NTA has not announced the date of releasing the NEET hall ticket 2022 and it is estimated as per previous yearsโ trend that the admit card is released approximately two weeks prior to the exam date. Based on that, NEET admit card 2022 is likely to be released in the first week of July. Till then, NTA may take a decision to defer the NEET 2022.
