NTA Responds RTI on NEET 2022 Postpone Status

NEET 2022 postponed date is a bring question among the minds of students at the moment. Aspirants are constantly urging the exam authority, National Testing Agency (NTA) to postpone NEET 2022. Hashtags such as #postponeneet2022 and #rescheduleneet2022 are trending on Twitter and other social media platforms. A number of students and student activists had filed RTI seeking the status of NEET 2022 postponement or rescheduled date. NTA has responded to one of the RTIs stating that NEET 2022 will be held on the scheduled date and time.

In the RTI response, NTA has said, “The NEET (UG) 2022 exam is going to held on its scheduled date and time. However, the candidates are advised to remain updated on the website for the latest information.”

NTA, on the other hand, has not completely ruled out the possibility of NEET 2022 date getting postponed. There are over two months left for the exam, which is slated to be conducted on July 14. In the RTI response, NTA has also added, “If any decision is taken by the higher authority, it will be informed through Public Notice on the official website.”

NEET 2022 Important Dates

NTA announced NEET 2022 on April 6 and released the application form. Although important dates for all the events related to the exam have not been released yet, the following is the NEET 2022 schedule announced so far.

This year, NTA has brought a number of changes in NEET in terms of eligibility criteria, application fee, exam duration, number of exam cities, and tie-breaking policy, among others. Over 16 lakh candidates are expected to apply for NEET 2022.
