NEET 2023 admit card has been released by NTA on May 4 early morning. The exam will be conducted on May 7, from 2 PM to 5.20 PM. The NEET admit card 2023 is a crucial document which will carry information regarding the allotted exam centre, personal details, exam day instructions, guidelines and other important information. The advance intimation of the examination city for NEET 2023 was released on April 30.
NTA has already revealed the city where candidates’ exam centres will be located. It was a precursor to the NEET 2023 admit card release. Candidates were demanding the release of the NEET admit card 2023 since the past two days and were also getting anxious about it given the few days left for the exam. NEET 2023 Admit Card Self Declaration Form
The NEET 2023 Self-Declaration Form will require candidates to page their photographs, thumb impression and parents' signatures on the spaces provided. Their own signatures have to be made in the presence of the invigilators. Unlike the previous years, the NEET admit card self-declaration form would not require candidates to enter their past 14 days travel or health update.

Safety Measures to be Followed at NEET 2023 Exam Centres
The exam authorities will follow the steps given below to ensure the maintenance of safety measures and security protocols at the exam centres.
- The exam centre for NEET 2023 will be sanitised using a ‘disinfectant backpack spray machine’ on the exam day
- All those deputed on exam duty will be wearing facemasks and gloves
- Sanitiser bottles will be kept at the entry gate, exam halls, registration room, etc. These will be refilled from time-to-time
- All desks and chairs will be thoroughly sanitised
- The washrooms will be thoroughly disinfected
- The trash bins will be emptied and disinfected
- Notice boards will display the COVID-19 advisory for all students
- Room/hall numbers will not be displayed outside the exam centre to avoid crowding

How to Download NEET 2023 Admit Card in Case of No Internet?
Candidates who do not have access to the internet or printers can download the admit card for NEET 2023 from a nearby Common Services Centre (CSC). The CSCs are spread across the country and charge a nominal fee for the services provided. There are more than 2.5 lakh CSCs in India and the numbers are increasing every year. NEET 2023 Exam Day Instructions
General exam day instructions for NEET 2023 will be printed on the admit card. A few important instructions on the NEET admit card are:
- Candidates must not sign on the NEET admit card in advance. They should do it in presence of invigilators, after their instruction.
- They must report to the exam centre at the 'reporting time' mentioned on the NEET 2023 admit card.
- Details and address of the allotted exam centre can be found on the admit card of NEET.
- The entry to the exam centre will begin at 11.40 am and the last entry into the examination hall will be at 1.30 pm.
- Candidates found in possession of the barred items will not be allowed to complete the examination.
- Candidates should visit the exam centre a day before the examination.
- Geometry/ pencil box, calculator, log table, slide ruler, any paper or textual material, etc. are not allowed inside the examination hall.
- Handbags, purses, wallets, electronic gadgets, calculators, watches, etc are also barred inside the examination hall.
- Students are not allowed to carry any eatables inside the examination hall. However, diabetic students are allowed to carry fruits/ sugar tablets.
- Owing to the COVID-19 situation, NTA has permitted the candidates to carry transparent water bottles inside the exam centre.
- Candidates must drop their NEET 2023 admit card in a box placed outside the exam hall upon completion of the examination.
- Candidates must leave the exam hall one by one and must wait for their turn to avoid crowding outside the centres.

NEET 2023 Admit Card - Points to Remember
Candidates should keep in mind the following information in mind during and after downloading the NEET 2023 admit card.
- In case a candidate is unable to download his/ her NEET admit cards from the website, he or she may approach the Help Line between 10 am to 5 pm or write an email to NTA at neet@nta.ac.in.
- It is mandatory to get the admit card of NEET 2023 signed by a parent/guardian.
- It is mandatory to carry a valid photo Id proof on the day of NEET 2023.
- Candidates have to carry a passport-sized photograph on the day of the examination. This photograph has to be affixed to the attendance sheet.
- In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signatures shown on the Admit Card and Confirmation Page, the candidate may immediately approach the Help Line between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. In such cases, candidates would appear in
the Examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.

What is New in NEET 2023?
NTA has brought changes in a number of areas of the NEET 2023 exam in terms of the application process, exam cities, tie-breaking criteria and more. Let us take a look at the changes introduced this year:
- Increase in the application fee: The application fee has increased for each category by INR 100 and for those opting for an exam centre abroad, the fee has increased by INR 1,000.
- Document upload: This year, an additional document has to be uploaded, which is the permanent and present address proof in PDF format.
- Selection of exam cities: Unlike four exam cities, this year, candidates will have to select two cities. Unlike last year, where candidates had to select four cities.
- Decrease in the number of exam cities in India: The number of exam cities for NEET UG 2023 is 485 cities across India and 14 cities abroad. Last year, NEET was held in 543 exam cities in India and the number of exam cities abroad remains the same.
- Removal of age factor in tie-breaking process: NTA has removed the age factor as a criterion in the tie-breaking policy. This year, along with the number of correct attempts in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, the proportion of correct and incorrect attempts will also be considered.

Advisory Against Malpractice in NEET 2023
NTA has laid down the following rules for NEET 2023 test takers against malpractices during the exam. Candidates are prohibited to do the following:
a) Using someone to write the examination (impersonation) or preparing material for copying;
b) Breaching examination rules or any direction issued by NTA in connection with the conduct of the NEET (UG) - 2023 examination from time to time.
c) Assisting other candidates to engage in malpractices, giving or receiving assistance directly or indirectly of any kind or attempting to do so;
d) Writing questions or answers on any material other than the answer sheet given by the Centre Superintendent for writing answers.
e) Tearing of Answer Sheet, any page of the test booklet, etc.
f) Contacting or communicating or trying to do so with any person, other than the Examination Staff, during the examination time in the Examination Centre.
g) Taking away the answer sheet (Original OMR/Office Copy of OMR) out of the examination hall/room.
h) Taking away the Admit Card out of the examination hall/room.
i) Smuggling out of Question Paper or its part or smuggling out answer sheet or part thereof.
j) Threatening any of the officials connected with the conduct of the examination or threatening any of the candidates.
k) Using or attempting to use any other undesirable method or means in connection with the examination.
l) Manipulation and fabrication of online documents viz. admit card, rank letter, self-declaration, etc.
m) Forceful entry/exit in/from Examination Centre/Hall.
n) Use or attempted use of any electronic device after entering the Examination Centre;
o) Affixing/uploading of wrong/morphed photographs on the application form/admit card/proforma.
p) Erasing or obliterating any information printed on the OMR Answer Sheet.

AJINSA Writes Letter to NHRC Showing Concern Over Growing Number of Suicides Among NEET Aspirants
All India JEE NEET Students Association (AIJNSA) submitted a letter to National Human Rights Commission India (NHRC) highlighting the growing concerns about the mental stress faced by NEET-UG aspirants in India. AIJNSA requested NHRC to take immediate action to address the mental stress faced by the NEET aspirants. Role of Scribe for NEET 2023 PwD/PwBD candidates
The Scribe will help the Candidate in reading the questions and/or keying in the answers as per the directions of the Candidate. A Scribe will NEITHER explain the questions NOR suggest any solutions. NTA states, "If it is found at any stage that a candidate has availed the services of a Scribe and/or availed the compensatory time, but does not possess the extent of disability that warrants the use of a Scribe and/or grant of compensatory time, the candidate will be excluded from the process of evaluation, ranking, counselling, and admission. How can I retrieve my NEET 2023 application password?
The NEET 2023 password can be easily retrieved. Even if someone forgets the password, they can revive it, or change it by following a few simple steps. The first option is to select the login option through the date of birth. Here, candidates will have to enter the username and the date of birth in the DD/MM/YY format. The other option is to click on the Forgot Password tab. A link will be sent to their registered email id wherein they will have to click and change the password. Once the new password is set and the logging is done successfully, candidates will be able to download the NEET 2023 admit card.

I have signed on the NEET admit card in advance, by mistake. How can I rectify this?
As per the instructions given by NTA regarding the NEET 2023 admit card, candidates will have to sign on the admit card in the space provided in the presence of the invigilator. In case a candidate signs the admit card in advance, then they should discard it and take another printout of the document and paste the photographs and get it signed by his/her parents. Candidates will have to check the instructions again and follow the Dos and Don’ts carefully to avoid such unwarranted mistakes. Test-takers are advised to keep a couple of extra copies of the NEET admit card along with photographs and pens so that you can use those if they discover that they have signed in advance.

NTA Advisory Regarding NEET 2023 Admit Card
NTA has issued the following advisory, or guidelines regarding the NEET 2023 admit card.
a. Candidate may note that Admit Card will not be sent by post.
b. In no case, the duplicate Admit Card for NEET (UG)-2023 would be issued at the Examination Centres.
c. The candidate must not mutilate the Admit Card or change any entry made therein.
d. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Card in good condition for future reference.
e. No Admit Card shall be issued to the candidates whose Applications are found to be incomplete for any reasons (including indistinct/ doubtful photographs/unsigned Applications) or who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria for the examination.

Making Corrections in NEET 2023 Admit Card
According to NTA, in case there is a discrepancy or wrong information printed on the NEET 2023 admit card, candidates will have to approach the Helpline to get the details rectified. However, in case NTA does not issue the correct admit card before the exam, they are advised to take the issued NEET admit card 2023 to the allotted exam centre. The details will be updated by NTA later on. Is it possible that my NEET 2023 City Allotment would be different than my preference?
Yes, it is possible that NTA would change the NEET 2023 city allotment based on the number of applications received for that city. In case, the number of candidates opting for a city is less than a certain minimum, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities. In case, the number of candidates opting for a city as a centre with a regional language is less than a certain minimum, candidates may be allotted a NEET 2023 Centre in another city irrespective of the city opted by the candidates for appearing in the examination. NTA states, "Though every effort will be made to allot a Centre in one of the cities selected by the candidate, the NTA reserves the right to allot a centre in a city other than the candidate’s choice. Allotment of Centres will be done mostly in one of the preferred cities of the candidates and there will be no human intervention. All efforts will be made by NTA to consider the comfort and convenience of candidates, including PwBD Candidates while allotting Centres."

Is it possible to get a NEET exam centre that I did not choose?
First of all, candidates are not allowed to choose NEET centres. They can only choose the city. This year, applicants were allowed to select only two cities as per their preference so that NTA ensures that the centre is allotted at the city of their first preference. In case candidates' NEET city allotment 2023 is as per their choice, but the centre is not as per their convenience, then nothing can be done at this stage. Test-takers are advised to make the exam day commute plan accordingly, so that they reach the NEET 2023 exam centre on time.

What if a question is wrong in the NEET 2023 question paper?
In case a question is wrong in the NEET 2023 question paper, then NTA will award four marks. NTA has clarified by saying, "If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks ( 4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error."
