NEET 2023 final answer key was released by NTA a couple of days after the declaration of the NEET result 2023. There have been discrepancies found in two questions. One of the questions was dropped whereas the other had two correct answer options. The NEET 2023 result has been computed accordingly.

NEET 2023 final answer key for both exam dates, May 7 and June 6 have been released by NTA. For the May 7 exam, discrepancies have been found in two questions. While one question has been dropped owing to the fact that none of the answer options was correct, the other one had two correct answers. On the other hand, no discrepancies have been found in the NEET 2023 answer key for June 6 exam.

The NEET 2023 question which has been dropped is given below.

Q: The ratio of radius of gyration of a solid sphere of mass M and radius R about its own axis to the radius of gyration of the thin hollow sphere of same mass and radius about its axis is

(1) 3:5

(2) 5:3

(3) 2:5

(4) 5:2

NEET 2023 Answer Key – Question With Multiple Correct Answers

NTA has also stated that there is one question with two correct answer options. The question is given below:

Q: Main steps in the formation of Recombinant DNA are given below. Arrange these steps in a correct sequence.
A. Insertion of recombinant DNA into the host cell
B. Cutting of DNA at specific location by restriction enzyme
C. Isolation of desired DNA fragment
D. Amplification of gene of interest using PCR
Choose the correct answer from the options given below :
(1) B, C, D, A
(2) C, A, B, D
(3) C, B, D, A
(4) B, D, A, C

NEET 2023 Marking Scheme Related to Dropped Questions or Questions With Multiple Correct Answers

As per the NEET 2023 marking scheme, NTA has stated the following:

  • If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. 

  • If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

NEET 2023 provisional answer key was released on June 4 and the challenges could be submitted till June 6. On the other hand, for the exam conducted for the Manipur candidates on June 6, the provisional NEET answer key 2023 was released on June 11 and challenges could be submitted till June 12.

NTA released the NEET 2023 result on June 13. A day after the declaration of the NEET result, a mismatch between a candidate's OMR sheet scores and NEET result 2023 has been reported. As per this, some candidates’ marks based on the OMR sheet released by NTA is higher than the score mentioned on the NEET 2023 scorecard.

"As per OMR uploaded on official website of NTA marks of @kamalgarg1679 son are supposed to be 658/720. But in the result card it’s showing 464/720. Attaching screenshot of OMR. @DG_NTA pls cross check and give clarification,"read a tweet. However, NTA is yet to address this issue.

NEET 2023 was taken by 20.38 lakh candidates across India and abroad. Out of this, 11.45 lakh candidates have qualified. Two candidates have obtained full marks of 720. Highest number of candidates have qualified from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

In OMR my ward get 618marks but in result get only 268 marks

OMR I got 472 marks but in result only 69 marks
