NEET 2024 Application: Students Urge NTA to Extend Last Date; Cite Issues Regarding Aadhaar Number
NEET 2024 application process will end on March 9. Students are requesting NTA to extend the last date of application form submission, as they are facing multiple issues regarding their Aadhaar Number, or other technical issues. Know the details here.
NEET 2024 application process is slated to end on March 9, a few days from now. Applicants are urging the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body, to extend the last date to submit the application form.
The primary reason behind this is the technical snags on the application website or issues regarding the Aadhaar Number of candidates. Originally, in the NEET 2024 information bulletin, it was not necessary to provide the Aadhaar Number, but later on, it was made mandatory to verify the Aadhaar Number during the application and login process for NEET 2024.
This has created difficulty for candidates who lack an Aadhaar Card, or whose mobile number is not linked to their Aadhaar Card.
While it may take around two to three days to link mobile number with Aadhaar Card, or get the enrollment number (in case of lack of Aadhaar Card), aspirants are facing difficulty in terms of getting the mobile verification OTP or other related aspects. Hence, students are requesting NTA to extend the last date of NEET 2024 application process.
Earlier, NTA released guidelines for NEET 2024 candidates regarding Aadhaar Numbers. However, the problem persists for some. Moreover, candidates are also facing difficulty in logging in as the Captcha is stated as invalid despite entering the correct details.
Keeping in mind the above factors, there is a high possibility that NTA will extend the last date to submit the NEET 2024 application form. However, candidates are advised to act promptly and do the needful to avoid any chance of disqualification.
