Total Marks of NEET 2024 Exam
The total marks in the NEET exam is 720. Each question carries four marks and there is a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.

Condition to Get Scribe Permit for PWBD NEET Candidates
The facility of Scribe and/or compensatory time shall be granted solely to those having difficulty in writing or 40 per cent benchmark difficulty subject to the production of a certificate to the effect that the person concerned has limitation to write and that Scribe is essential to write the examination on his/her behalf from the competent medical authority of a Government healthcare institution. Compensatory time of not less than 20 minutes per hour of the examination should be allowed for persons who are eligible for getting a Scribe.

NTA Advisory Regarding NEET 2024 Application Form Document Upload
NTA has laid down the following advisory regarding the NEET 2024 application form document upload:
i. The recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
ii. Scanned photograph, signature, and Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impression should be in JPG format (clearly legible).
iii. The size of the scanned passport photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly legible).
iv. The size of the scanned Postcard photograph (4”x6”) should be between 10 kb - 200 kb (clearly legible).
v. The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible)
vi. The size of scanned and Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impressions as per the Template provided (Appendix-XVIII) should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.

NEET 2024 Application Form - Advisory Regarding Photograph and Signature
Regarding the photograph, signature and finger and thumb impression upload, NTA has stated, "Please check your photograph and signature before submission of the Application Form. In case the photograph or signature is blurred or not visible to identify the identity of the candidate then, the application will be rejected and no option for correction or revision will be permitted. The Candidate has to upload only his/her own photograph, signature, Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impression, and certificate(s) as mentioned above (and not of anybody else) in a correct/proper manner, as the facility for correction will not be given in future."

What if I do not get payment confirmation after paying NEET 2024 application fee?
The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the Candidate. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee, then the candidate may have to approach the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway (in the helpline number and e-mail given in the Information Bulletin) to ensure the successful payment or to obtain the refund of duplicate/multiple payments.

NTA Advisory on Aadhaar Number for NEET 2024 Application Form
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an advisory for NEET 2024 candidates in terms of candidates' Aadhaar Numbers. NTA has stated, “If you have encountered Aadhaar authentication or Data issues during registration, please log in using your Application Number and Password (Aadhaar login is disabled). Re-verify your Aadhaar and correct any errors.”
NTA has also advised candidates to enter their own Aadhaar number while applying for NEET 2024. Otherwise, it may lead to the cancellation of the candidature. “Candidates are strongly advised to use only their own AADHAAR for registration process as it would be used at various stages during the NEET UG 2024 process,” states NTA.

NEET 2024 Question Paper Medium
The NEET question paper will be available in 13 languages. In case candidates have opted for a regional medium, the question paper will include the questions in English along with the regional language. Candidates opting for English/Hindi/Regional Languages would be provided a Test Booklet in English + Hindi + selected Regional Language. For Example: If a candidate opted for Tamil (out of 13 languages), the Test Booklet would be provided in English + Hindi + Tamil. In case of any ambiguity in the translation of a question in the test, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.

NEET 2024 Application Form: Should the Photograph be Coloured or Black and While?
There is no mandate about uploading the passport or postcard-size photograph in colour or black and white format. According to NTA, the photograph can be either, but candidates must ensure that the photograph should be clear and the face should be visible for at least 80 per cent. Candidates should not be wearing caps/hats/sunglasses, scarves or mufflers while taking the photograph for NEET application form. Moreover, it should not be older than three months.

Is it Mandatory to Upload Board Exam Scorecards in the NEET 2024 Application Form?
No, it is not mandatory to upload Class 10 and Class 12 Board exam mark sheets while filling the NEET 2024 application form. Till last year, applicants needed to upload the pass certificates to establish the academic eligibility criteria. However, this year, the pass certificate is not a mandatory document to be uploaded.

What if my session expires while filling the NEET 2024 application form?
If the NEET application form is left idle for 30 minutes after logging in, the session will expire. In case the session expires due to loss of internet connection, then the form will be saved till the last completed section. In case candidates were in the middle of a section and it was not saved, then they will have to restart it. Unless candidates fill the NEET form at the last moment, they should not worry about the session expiry. Hence, candidates are advised to fill the NEET 2024 application form well on time and not wait for the last moment to complete it.

How to be sure about submission of the NEET 2024 application form?
Once the NEET 2024 application form is submitted successfully, NTA will send a confirmation message through email and SMS. the status of the application upon logging in with the registration credentials will be shown as complete. In case the NEET 2024 application fee amount is deducted from the account but there is no confirmation from NTA, candidates should wait for a while, or login again and check the application status. If it says incomplete, then they should complete the process. In case the payment process is incomplete but the amount is deducted, it will be refunded to the account. In case of further difficulty, they should contact the NTA Helpline to seek help.

NEET 2024 Application Form - Advisory Regarding Photograph and Signature
Regarding the photograph, signature and finger and thumb impression upload, NTA has stated, "Please check your photograph and signature before submission of the Application Form. In case the photograph or signature is blurred or not visible to identify the identity of the candidate then, the application will be rejected and no option for correction or revision will be permitted. The Candidate has to upload only his/her own photograph, signature, Left and Right hand Fingers and Thumb impression, and certificate(s) as mentioned above (and not of anybody else) in a correct/proper manner, as the facility for correction will not be given in future."

NTA Advisory Regarding NEET 2024 Application Form Document Upload
NTA has laid down the following advisory regarding NEET 2024 application form document upload:
i. The recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
ii. Scanned photograph, signature, and Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impression should be in JPG format (clearly legible).
iii. The size of the scanned passport photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly legible).
iv. The size of the scanned Postcard photograph (4”x6”) should be between 10 kb - 200 kb (clearly legible).
v. The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible)
vi. The size of scanned and Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impressions as per the Template provided (Appendix-XVIII) should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.

In case the NEET 2024 application fee amount is deducted from the account but there is no confirmation from NTA, candidates should wait for a while, or login again and check the application status. If it says incomplete, then they should complete the process. In case the payment process is incomplete but the amount is deducted, it will be refunded to the account. In case of further difficulty, they should contact the NTA Helpline to seek help.

My session expired while filling the NEET application form. What to do?
If the NEET application form is left idle for 30 minutes after logging in, the session will expire. In case the session expires due to loss of internet connection, then the form will be saved till the last completed section. In case candidates were in the middle of a section and it was not saved, then they will have to restart it. Unless candidates fill the NEET form at the last moment, they should not worry about the session expiry. Hence, candidates are advised to fill the NEET 2024 application form well on time and not wait for the last moment to complete it.

- Not reading the instructions carefully before filling the registration and application form.

NEET UG 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Apart from the change in subject type in Class 11 and Class 12 and allowing candidates from Open Schools, other factors of the NEET UG eligibility criteria have remained the same. The eligibility criteria of NEET are given below.
Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. Non-resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are also eligible to appear for NEET if they wish to pursue MBBS or any other courses accepting NEET scores, from an institute in India.
Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2024. Accordingly, the minimum date of birth of candidates should be December 31, 2007. There is no upper age limit for NEET.
Educational and Qualifying Marks Criteria: Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects individually in the qualifying examination. The qualifying aggregate for General, General-PWD and Reserved category candidates is 50 per cent, 45 per cent and 40 per cent respectively
