NEET Counselling 2024: MCC Issues Notice for Candidates Willing to Convert Nationality to NRI
MCC has announced that candidates willing to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI should apply for the same between August 7 and August 10, 2024. They will have to send an email to MCC in the requisite format along with the necessary documents at the given email address. Know the details here.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued notice for candidates willing to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI. Such candidates will have to send an email to MCC with the requisite document proving their nationality between August 7, 10 AM and August 10, 10 AM.
In the notice, MCC has stated, โIt is for the information to all the candidates that those who are claiming to be NRI should send their relevant documents as mentioned below, in support of their claim to change nationality from Indian to NRI through e-mail ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com.โ
MCC adds, โMails received before/ after the stipulated time will not be considered. Candidates are advised to send all documents enclosed in single mail only, within stipulated time.โ

List of Documents Required for Nationality Conversion to NRI
The following documents have to be uploaded in the email in the following order:
- Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer).
- Relationship of NRI with the candidate.
- Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarised.
- Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate).
- NEET Score Card of the candidate.
Conditions Levied by MCC for Candidates Willing to Convert Nationality to NRI
MCC has laid down the following conditions for candidates who are willing to change nationality to NRI:
- Candidates must have appeared and qualified for NEET 2024
- Once the category is changed, candidates will not be able to avail the benefit under Muslim Minority quota/Jain Minority Quota/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS or any other Quota.
- The conversion of the Nationality of candidates from โIndianโ to โNRIโ is โProvisionalโ based on the documents submitted by the candidates which will be verified by the allotted college authorities at the time of reporting.
The registration process for NEET 2024 counselling will begin on August 14 and the last date of registration is August 20. There will be four rounds of NEET counselling 2024 to be conducted by MCC. The NEET 2024 counselling schedule was announced by MCC on July 29, 2024.

The NEET counselling is segregated into two categories, central or national, and state counselling. The central counselling for NEET is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee or MCC. The NEET counselling process conducted by MCC is for the admission to the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. On the other hand, State Authorities or the Education Department of various states conduct NEET state counselling for the 85 per cent state quota seats. MCC conducts the NEET counselling for MBBS BDS and B.Sc. Nursing courses. On the other hand, the State Counselling Authorities conduct the admission process for MBBS BDS BAMS, BHMS, and other medical or allied courses.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducted the NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round 3 from December 23 to December 30, 2024. The provisional and final results were declared on December 24 and December 25. The institute reporting process is being conducted from December 25 to December 30, 2024. There were three MBBS seats for allotment in this round.
The NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round 2 was conducted from December 9 to December 16, 2024. While the payment and choice filling could be done from December 9 to December 10, the seat allotment result was declared on December 12, 2024. The institute reporting process is being conducted from December 12 to December 16, 2024.
The NEET 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round 1 counselling was conducted from November 20 to November 30, 2024. The payment process was conducted from November 20 to November 21, 2024. The choice filling and locking rounds were held from November 20 to November 22, 2024. The provisional seat allotment result was declared on November 22, 2024, and the final result was declared on November 23, 2024, followed by the institute reporting process from November 25 to November 30, 2024.
MCC conducted the NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The registration and choice filling process started on October 22 and October 23 respectively. The last dates of registration and choice filling and locking were extended till October 27 from October 25 and October 26 respectively. The provisional and final result was released on October 29 and October 30, 2024, respectively.
The Round 3 was conducted from October 3 to October 19, 2024.
The NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 concluded on September 27, 2024. The round started on September 13, 2024.
The Round 1 of NEET 2024 counselling was conducted from August 14 to August 31, 2024.
MCC had announced that the NEET 2024 counselling dates on July 29, 2024. As of now, four rounds of counselling has been announced, which will conclue on November 5, 2024.
