After NEET PG 2023 cut-off was reduced to zero, now NEET MDS 2023 qualifying percentile is also reduced by 31.807 percentile for each category.

The Health Ministry, Government of India, has reduced the NEET MDS 2023 qualifying percentile by 31.807 percentile for each category.

“Ministry has decided to lower the qualifying cut-off percentile for NEET MDS 2023 by 31.807 percentile for each category (General, SC/ST/OBC and UR-PWD) in pursuance of DCI’s MDS Regulations, 2017 and 2nd proviso in clause 7(1) of DCI’s Master of Dental Surgery course (1st Amendment) Regulations, 2018. The qualifying percentiles for NEET MDS 2023 for the academic session 2023-24 now are:

For General (UR/EWS), it is 18.193, for SC/ST/OBC (including PWD of SC/ST/OBC), it is 8.193, for UR-PWD, it is 13.193," reads the official notification.

A total of 6,501 Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats are offered under 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 50% state quota seats, and 100% seats in deemed/central universities and private colleges through the exam. NEET MDS 2023 result was released on March 20. NEET MDS 2023 scorecard can be downloaded from the official website. NEET MDS result cum merit list comprises details such as the candidate's roll number, NEET MDS 2022 rank, 50% All India Quota rank etc.

The qualifying percentile for NEET MDS 2023 is the minimum percentile a candidate needs to score to become eligible for participating in the counselling process. This percentile has been set by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and varies for candidates belonging to different categories. MCC is expected to release the NEET MDS 2023 round-3 revised schedule soon.
