NEET MDS 2024 Aspirants Demand Exam Postponement: Here's Why?
Despite mounting pressure, NBE remains firm on its decision to conduct the NEET MDS 2024 exam on March 18, 2024, citing directives from the ministry.
In a recent development, NEET MDS 2024 aspirants have intensified their demand for the postponement of the upcoming examination to July. The move comes amidst growing concerns and dissatisfaction among the aspirant community, who feel their grievances have not been adequately addressed. NEET MDS students have also approached the Supreme Court demanding exam postponment.
The All India Students Dental Association/DENTODONTICS took to Twitter, highlighting various issues plaguing the NEET MDS 2024 aspirants. Among the grievances cited include the last-minute extension of internship, limited exam centers, eligibility concerns, and inadequate preparation time for newly eligible candidates.
Why NEET MDS Aspirants are demanding Exam Postponement
Last-Minute Admit Cards: Newly Eligible Students to Receive Admit Cards Only Two Days Before Exam, Amplifying Last-Minute Stress.
Limited Exam Centre Knowledge: Aspirants to Discover Exam Centers Just Two Days Before Exam, Potentially Leading to Logistical Challenges.
Sparse Exam Centers: Reports Show Only 56 Cities Nationwide Hosting Centers, Leaving Several States and Union Territories Without Centers.
Increased Cut-Off Controversy: Surge in Cut-Off Leaves Approximately 1000 Aspirants Eligible, Sparking Accusations of Government Gimmickry.
Aspirants Express Concern: Dissatisfaction Over Government's Handling of Situation, Citing Fairness and Transparency Concerns in Exam Process.
The aspirants argue that the sudden increase in internship duration, without a corresponding change in the exam date, has added to their stress and uncertainty. They point out that many aspirants have been deemed ineligible for the exam, further exacerbating the situation.
The demand for postponement gains further momentum as aspirants express dissatisfaction with the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's handling of the situation. Despite mounting pressure, NBE remains firm on its decision to conduct the NEET MDS 2024 exam on March 18, 2024, citing directives from the ministry.
The lack of transparency in the exam process, coupled with logistical challenges such as limited exam centers and last-minute admit cards, has fueled frustration among aspirants. They argue that the disparity between NEET PG and NEET MDS exam schedules further adds to their plight.
In light of these concerns, NEET MDS 2024 aspirants have turned to the Supreme Court, seeking intervention to postpone the exam to July. However, with the exam date fast approaching, the fate of thousands of aspirants hangs in the balance as they await a resolution to their demands.
