NEET MDS 2024: Students Urge NBE to Release Updated Notification Soon

NEET MDS 2024 exam is likely to get postponed from the original date of February 9, as the application form or the information brochure have not been released yet. As less than a month is left for the exam date, it seems to be an impossible task to conduct the NEET MDS 2024 application process and conduct the exam on time.

Moreover, the postponement of NEET PG 2024 from March 3, 2024, to July 7, 2024, has instilled a hope among NEET MDS 2024 aspirants that this exam will get postponed as well. However, silence from NBE has increased the anxiety level among candidates.

Latest Update: NBE released a notice on its official website stating the exam date has been postponed to March 18, 2024. The NEET MDS 2024 result and the cutoff will be released on March 31, 2024.

The Student and Dental Bodies such as All India Students Dental Association and Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) are requesting NBE to release the updated NEET MDS 2024 notification at the earliest.

Dr Rohan Krishnan, National Chairman of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has also urged the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and NBEMS to give clarity on the NEET MDS 2024 exam.

Medical student activist Dr Vivek Pandey has also expressed his thoughts on the stress and anxiety MDS aspirants are going through right now.

Students Express Angst Against NBE

While some students have expressed their disappointment against NBE and requested the exam conducting body to release the latest update on NEET MDS 2024 at the earliest, some have shared that NBE treats the NEET MDS exam inferiorly, which has led them to post updates about NEET PG 2024, which was scheduled to be held later, and not about the NEET MDS exam. Check out some of the social media posts below.

At the same time, some have taken a funny route and shared memes and jokes taking a laid back approach of NBE regarding NEET MDS 2024.

According to the exam calendar released by NBE on November 9, NEET MDS 2024 was tentatively scheduled for February 9, 2024. Hence, it was expected that the NEET MDS application form 2024 would be released by mid-December or early January. A delay in the process is an indication of postponing the exam.

NEET MDS is an entrance exam conducted by NBE to provide admissions to all the postgraduate dental courses offered by institutions in India. NEET MDS exam is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination conducted annually in online mode. The exam is conducted in a computer-based mode for three hours over a single day and slot.
