NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court hearing has been deferred for the fourth time leaving students disappointed. The hearing will now take place on November 26 owing to transparency, normalisation method and release of NEET PG answer key and raw marks.

NEET PG 2024 News

The Supreme Court of India has postponed the NEET PG 2024 hearing once again. The hearing, which was scheduled for November 20, 2024, will now be conducted on November 26, 2024. The proceeding which will revolve around the NEET PG 2024 transparency, the release of the answer key; and raw marks has been delayed several times; making students furious and questioning the judicial system. However, students are dissatisfied but hopeful that the Apex Court will hear their plea and make the best judgement possible.

The plea was brought in front of the Apex Court by a group of NEET PG 2024 applicants seeking SC's intervention in the NEET PG transparency, and urging the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to release the exam’s answer key, raw marks, and details of the normalisation method used to calculate the results. However, despite repeated requests, the board has not accepted the multiple requests from the candidates, as reported by TOI.

NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing: Timeline of Events

The petition seeking NEET PG 2024 transparency was first filed on September 7, 2024, by 19 NEET PG candidates raising concerns against sudden changes in the examination pattern a few days before the examination. The examination was held in two shifts hence the normalisation process was followed for result preparation. However, the petitioners also raised concerns about the transparency in result processing.

The First SC hearing on NEET PG 2024 was scheduled for September 20, 2024, which was later postponed to October 4, 2024. Later on, the hearing was postponed to October 25, 2024, owing to the absence of a central government representative. The hearing was further delayed twice i.e. to November 12 and November 20, 2024.
