As per the latest media reports, NEET result 2023 is expected to be out by June 15 or June 16. However, there is no official announcement on the same by NTA. 

The NEET 2023 answer key challenge process for the Manipur candidates is ending today, at 4 PM. Candidates who wish to send objections must do the needful within the stipulated time. 

The NEET 2023 exam for the Manipur candidates was held on June 6 from 12 noon to 3.20 PM in 34 centres across 11 cities in India. As many as 8,753 candidates appeared for the exam. The list of 11 different cities where the exam was conducted is Aizawl (Mizoram), Kohima/Dimapur (Nagaland), Shillong (Meghalaya), Guwahati (Assam), Jorhat (Assam), Silchar (Assam), Kolkata (West Bengal), Delhi, Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Imphal (Manipur).

The NEET 2023 provisional answer key and OMR sheets for Manipur candidates were released by NTA on June 11 night and the challenges have to be submitted till June 12, 4 PM.

NTA has released the NEET 2023 provisional answer keys for the exam dated May 7, for all question paper sets and codes. The PDF file can be downloaded below.

NEET 2023 May 7 Provisional Answer Keys

NTA has stated following parameters are considered in the case of tie-in scores: 

a. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test, followed by,

b. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry in the test, followed by,

c. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Physics in the test, followed by,

d. Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test,

e. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the test, followed by

f. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the test, followed by

g. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the test.

Till 2022, NTA considered the factors like candidates older in age and application number in descending order. These criteria have been removed for NEET 2023. 

The formula mentioned below is used to calculate the NEET percentile score:

NEET 2023 scorecard will carry the following information:

• Candidate's name
• Candidate’s roll number
• Category
• Application number
• Overall score
• Subject-wise score
• Percentile score
• All India Rank
• Qualifying status
• NEET AIR for 15 per cent AIQ seats
• NEET cutoff score

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to download the NEET 2023 scorecard:

• Visit the NEET 2023 website - neet.nta.nic.in
• Click on the tab indicating NEET 2023 result under the Candidate Activity section
• Enter the Application Number and Password or Date of Birth and Security Pin
• Click on Submit
• Click on the NEET 2023 Scorecard Tab
• Download the NEET 2023 scorecard in PDF format
• Take multiple printouts and preserve it till the admission process is completed.

During the course of, before, or after the examination if a candidate indulges in any of the above or similar practices, he/she shall be deemed to have used unfair practices and booked under the UNFAIR MEANS (U.F.M.) case. The candidate would be debarred for three years in the future and shall also be liable for criminal action and /or any other action as deemed fit.

NTA has mentioned the following information which can lead to cancellation of NEET 2023 result:

a) The result of NEET(UG)-2023 of the candidates who indulge in Unfair means Practices will be cancelled and will not be declared.
b) Similarly, the result of those candidates who appear from the Centre other than the one allotted to them, written on the Test booklet/OMR Sheet of other candidates or allow other candidates to write on their Test Booklet/OMR Sheet will be cancelled (and will not be declared).

NTA has released the NEET 2023 provisional answer key for Manipur candidates. They will have to submit objections till June 12, 4 PM.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has revised the age limit for NEET aspirants. According to the new age criteria, NEET UG aspirants should be 17 years old on or before January 31 of the year of admissions instead of December 31, which was the criterion earlier. NMC announced the new criteria in the 'Graduate Medical Education Regulations 2023'.

As per the latest news, the NEET result 2023 is expected to be out anytime soon, within the second week of June, which is by June 15. It is expected that within that date, NTA will complete the evaluation process for the candidates appeared on the second phase of test held on June 6.

Candidates also need to enter the Security Pin displayed on the screen to log in to the website.

No, NTA will not release sectional cutoffs. Only overall NEET 2023 qualifying or passing marks for each candidate category will be provided on the scorecard.

The total marks in NEET is 720 and students often wonder, what is a good score in NEET? It would depend on various factors such as your performance, vis-a-is your preparation tenure. For a repeat candidate, a score of 600+ may not be good enough provided the time and effort he had put.  At the same time, a student who did not prepare much and performed under unfavourable circumstances may find a score of 500 to be good.

Once the NEET 2023 final answer key is released, candidates will come to know whether their submitted challenges have been validated by NTA or not. Moreover, they may also check the answer options of questions which showed 5 as the correct answer option. For such questions, candidates will get a bonus of four marks. However, there is a caveat. In case all the answer options were wrong or the question itself was framed wrongly, every candidate would get full marks. On the other hand, if multiple answer options were found correct, then only those candidates who attempted the question will get marks.

NTA has fixed the NEET cutoff percentile for each candidate category, which is 50 percentile for General/UR, 45 percentile for PwD (General/UR) and 40 percentile for OBC, SC, ST and PwD (SC/ST/OBC) categories. However, there may be an exception to this as well. NTA has stated, "Provided when a sufficient number of candidates in the respective categories fail to secure minimum marks as prescribed, the Central Government in consultation with the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India, Central Council of Indian Medicine and Central Council of Homeopathy may at its discretion lower the minimum marks required for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses for the said academic year only."

The NEET 2023 merit list can be divided into the following categories:

Overall merit list: This merit list includes the names and ranks of all the candidates who appeared for NEET 2023. This is the first merit list and is prepared by NTA. This merit list will be forwarded to all counselling bodies, both national and state.

15 per cent AIQ merit list: This merit list will contain the names of only those candidates who would qualify for the NEET 2023 result. This merit list is prepared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

State quota merit list: Every state will prepare their individual merit lists for admissions to 85 per cent of state quota seats. These merit lists will include only those candidates who will qualify for the NEET result 2023 and register for the counselling of that respective state.

There has not been any official announcement regarding the NEET 2023 result declaration yet. Hence, it is unlikely that the NEET result will be declared tonight.

Candidates will not be given a chance to re-evaluate or recheck the final NEET 2023 answer keys or exam papers. NTA has stated the following reasons for this:

i. The OMRs are machine gradable and are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.

ii. The candidates are given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any doubt.

NEET cutoff marks will be determined on the following factors:

• Total number of candidates who appear for the examination

• Difficulty level of the examination

• Performance of the candidates

• Number of seats available

• NEET cut off for previous years

No, the NEET answer key or OMR challenge fee is non-refundable. Hence, even if the objection is found to be valid, there will not be any refund issued for the candidates submitting challenges against provisional answer keys of NEET 2023.

NEET 2023 final answer keys are considered to be final and absolute. There is no provision to submit further objections or challenges against the NEET 2023 final answer key.

No, NTA does not give any provision for reevaluation or rechecking on the NEET 2023 result or scorecard after it is released.

As per the expert predictions, the NEET 2023 cutoff marks are expected to be higher than last year since the difficulty level was easier and the number of test takers was higher.

Apart from the 1,06,333 MBBS seats, there are 27,868 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 603 BVSc and AH seats offered through NEET scores. 

The total number of MBBS seats in India as of today is 1,06,333. Recently NMC approved 50 new medical colleges in 15 states with over 8,000 seats.

The actual admission process begins after the announcement of the NEET results. Candidates must then prepare themselves for the NEET counselling process by doing their research on the top medical colleges that they can apply. 

The validity of the NEET 2023 result depends on where the candidate wants to apply. Candidates who wish to pursue MBBS from a foreign University will also have to qualify for NEET 2023. The validity depends on the location of the institute one desires to apply for. 

NEET result validity for an institute located in India: For aspirants who wish to apply for MBBS courses within India, the NEET result will be valid for the current academic session only.

NEET result validity for a foreign university: For aspirants who wish to apply for MBBS courses outside India, the NEET result 2023 is expected to be valid for three years. 

To check the NEET 2023 result, candidates must possess the following:

As per the media reports, NEET 2023 result is expected to be out in the second week of June. Hence, the chance of the result getting declared today cannot be ruled out completely. 

There is a chance that NTA will send the NEET 2023 scorecards to candidates' email addresses. Although NTA has not confirmed about it, there is a chance nonetheless. 

NEET 2023 result will be declared in online mode only. Candidates will have to login to the NTA NEET website to download the scorecards.

The result date for NEET always causes anxiousness among the test-takers. Not knowing the NEET result date can also cause the same effect. To help figure out the date for the NEET result, candidates can refer to the past years' trends here. 

The below table brings the exam structure of the exam along with NEET marks distribution. 

With the help of the NEET 2023 answer keys, candidates will have to count the total number of wrong answers given. After that, they will have to multiply four with the total number of correct answers and then deduct the total number of wrong answers given. The formula is given below:

Total marks in NEET= (Number of correct responses) x4 - (Number of incorrect responses) x1

As per a report by the Indian Express, a source from NTA has stated that the NEET result 2023 will be released either on Sunday or Monday. If not, in the next two days, the results will be out by early next week.

Candidates should first note down the number of correct and incorrect responses submitted by them in the NEET 2023 OMR sheet with the help of the answer keys. Once they have the number of correct and incorrect responses, they can use the formula given below to calculate the marks obtained in NEET 2023.

Total marks in NEET= (Number of correct responses) x4 - (Number of incorrect responses) x1

Using the above formula candidates can calculate their marks in NEET 2023, which can be further used to estimate the rank.

The total marks of the NEET 2023 exam is 720. Each question carries four marks and there is a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.

As per the data shared by NTA, as many as 20.87 lakh candidates applied for the exam, out of which 20.24 lakh candidates appeared. On the NEET 2023 exam held on June 6, around 5,700 candidates had appeared.

NEET was held twice. The exam had to be rescheduled for the Manipur candidates on account of law and order situation. NTA conducted the test for 5,750 candidates for Manipur, and two other candidates from Maharashtra and Kerala on June 6, in 10 cities across India.

NEET 2023 was conducted on May 7 for a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes. Over 20 lakh candidates appeared for the test, except for Manipur candidates. The exam for the Manipur candidates was held on June 6.

In general, NTA does not announce the NEET result date in advance. However, last year, NTA stated the result date approximately three to four days before the date of the result. Hence, this year, there is a chance of NTA announcing the NEET result 2023 date before declaring the scorecards.

NTA had released the NEET 2023 provisional answer keys on June 4, along with the OMR response sheets. Candidates could submit challenges against those till June 6, 11.50 PM. The final answer key will be released along with the NEET result 2023.

There is no announcement regarding the date and timing of the NEET 2023 result. Based on last year’s trend, it can be estimated that the scorecards will be released in the late evening or midnight.
