NEET result 2023 shows a 48% increase in qualifiers

National Testing Agency announced the NEET result 2023 on June 13, 2023. This year witnessed an increase of 15.5% in the candidates who appeared in the NEET UG 2023 exam as compared to the last year, and the number of qualifiers also increased by 48.5% if we compare it with the year 2022.

Prabanjan J and Bora Varun Chakravarthi are declared joint all-India toppers after securing 720 marks each.

As per the TOI report, a senior NTA official said that the candidates who scored the same marks are given ranks as per the tie-breaker rule where the candidate with higher marks in Biology is ranked above the rest. In case of identical marks in Biology, the same rule is applied for Chemistry followed by Physics. Even after this if the scores remain identical, the elder candidate gets the higher rank.

Tamil Nadu performed well this year as compared to last year as the AIR 1 Prabanjan J is from the TN, and a total of 4 candidates in the top 10 are from the state. Despite the state's opposition to the exam, the candidates have shined in the NEET result 2023 declared yesterday.

Also, 16 candidates scored 715 marks out of the total marks of 720. All India topper Bora Varun Chakravarthi is also the OBC topper, and All India's third Kaustav is the SC category topper.
