After Supreme Court rejected the plea to reschedule the NEET-UG 2021, students are urging Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to intervene and reschedule the medical entrance test.

On September 6, the Supreme Court of India has rejected the plea to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) to October. Now, the students are again expressing their disappointment on social media and urging Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to intervene on the matter and reschedule the medical entrance exam.

The SC bench observed: “Relief claimed is to quash public notice issued scheduling NEET-UG 2021 on 12th Sept. For reasons canvassed by petitioners’ counsel we are not impressed nor willing to show any indulgence to petitioners or allow them to invoke remedy under Article 32.”

NEET-UG is all set to be held on September 12 in pen and paper mode across the country and nearly 16 lakh candidates are expected to appear in the examination. Students are demanding the reschedule of the medical entrance exam under the #postponeNeet_savestudent and #RescheduleNEETUG.

National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Ministry of Education had already clarified that the NEET examination cannot be postponed further, and NTA also said the students must focus on their preparation. The apex court clearly mentioned that it will not entertain the petition to reschedule the examination as they do not want uncertainty. Moreover, over 16 lakh students will appear in the examination, hence it cannot be deferred at the request of a few students.

Students have been demanding on social media and they also signed an online petition on the website change.org. The students are saying the main reason for their demand is that the NEET UG exam date is clashing with CBSE and other exams and also the exam pattern is changed this year, hence they need extra time to prepare.

Meanwhile, NEET 2021 exam date is nearing and the NEET-UG admit card 2021 is scheduled to be released on September 9 on the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
