NEET-UG 2022 postponement: Delhi HC to hear plea today
While there are only two days left for NEET-UG 2022 which is scheduled to be conducted on July 17, Delhi high court will hear the plea filed by aspirants for exam postponement today, July 14.
Yesterday, NEET-UG 2022 aspirants filed a plea in the Delhi high court to postpone the examination by a minimum of 40-60 days and today the court is all set to hear the petition.
"Unorganised schedule of national level examinations such as NEET-UG 2022, JEE 2022 and CUET 2022 has caused immense mental trauma and harassment resulting 16 reported suicides of young students leaving their families in a state of despair," stated the plea, as reported by India Today.
"National level examinations in the month of July 2022 have a time gap of one or two days, wherein the syllabus of all three examinations is completely different," added the plea.
Dr Rohan Krishnan, President of FAIMA Doctors Association said, "Many students have approached us saying that the dates of many important exams are clashing. JEE mains, CUET and many others. There is chaos amongst students. There needs to be a gap of at least a month. The exam system needs to be student-friendly."
