Earlier AIJNSA team submitted a representation to the union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and recommended NEET UG twice a year, now it is uniting NEET UG 2023 candidates to fight for the second attempt of the exam. The exam is all set to be held on May 7, 2023.

All India JEE NEET Students Association (AIJNSA) has called NEET UG 2023 candidates to join their telegram group for NEET-UG 2023 second attempt.

AIJNSA's tweet reads, "Attention NEET-UG 2nd Attempt aspirants! Join our telegram group for NEET-UG 2nd Attempt for this year. Let's fight for it together!"

Candidates demand to postpone NEET UG 2023

Despite huge demand to postpone NEET UG 2023 exam, the medical entrance exam is all set to be held on May 7, 2023.

This has been a trend for a few years that the NEET aspirants demand postponement due to not having sufficient time to prepare for the exam and also exam date clashing with other exams. However, the government has made it clear that they need to bring the academic cycle back to normal and hence they cannot defer the exams.

The NEET exam is conducted only once a year and the number of candidates registering for the exam is also increasing every year hence it is getting more and more competitive each year which resulting in extreme stress among the aspirants as the exam is crucial to decide their futures. The mental pressure also many times results in suicide cases and hence AUJNSA is demanding a second attempt of the exam to ease the pressure on the students so that they can get another chance and more time to prepare.

As per sources, many NEET UG 2023 candidates have sought mental help counselling and used helplines for mental health support to deal with the immense pressure they are going through while preparing for the exam. AIJNSA also submitted a letter to NHRC highlighting the increasing number of suicide cases among NEET aspirants.
