National Testing Agency is expected to release the NEET UG 2023 answer key and NEET UG 2023 result anytime at the official website - neet.nta.nic.in. 

The NEET UG 2023 exam was held on May 7, 2023, and over 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination. The various student associations are also demanding a second attempt of the crucial medical entrance examination.

Top 5 medical colleges in India

While the candidates are waiting for the answer key and the results, take a look at the top 5 medical colleges based on the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2022.

  1. AIIMS Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi is at the top position of the NIRF ranking for 2022 in the medical colleges' category. It offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including BSc, B.Optom, MBBS, MSc, MD, MS, and PhD. For MBBS admissions in the institute, the candidates must clear the NEET-UG entrance exam and participate in counselling. For admission to postgraduate programmes such as MD, MS, DM (6 years), MCh, and MDS courses, the candidates must clear the INI-CET Entrance Exam. 
  2. PGIMER: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) is a public medical university located in Chandigarh. The institute is at the second position. In the instihe admission to the PG courses MD/ MS/ MCh/ DM/ MDS courses is through the INI CET exam. According to the report, 40 PG (2-year) and 165 PG (3-year) students were placed during PGIMER Chandigarh placements 2022.
  3. Christian Medical College: The institute offers MBBS, BSc, PG Diploma, BPT, MSc, DM, and MCh courses. DM and MCh admissions are based on NEET SS scores followed by NEET SS 2022 Counselling. NBE, the conducting body of NEET SS 2022.
  4. NIMHANS: The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences is at the fourth position of the NIRF ranking 2022. The various courses offered here are - UG Diploma, BSc, MD, MSc, MPH, DM and PG Diploma. Admission to MD/ MS/ MCh/ DM/ MDS courses is through INI CET.
  5. BHU: Banaras Hindu University offers MBBS, BDS, BSc, MSc, and PG Diploma courses. The university comprises 6 Institutes, 14 Faculties, and 144 Departments. It offers a vast range of courses across streams like Humanities, Social Science, Technology, Medicine, Science, Fine Arts and Performing Arts.
