NEET UG 2024: Over 96% Students Appeared, UP Tops List; Check State-Wise Details Inside
A total of 9,96,393 male, 13,31,321 female and 17 transgender candidates appeared for the NEET 2024 examination held on May 5. NTA reported that 3,34,928 more female candidates appeared in the entrance exam in comparison to male candidates.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully concluded the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 on May 5, 2024. NTA has reported that over 96 per cent of students participated in the national-level entrance test. A total of 9,96,393 male, 13,31,321 female and 17 transgender candidates appeared for the entrance exam.
NTA is likely to release the NEET UG 2024 answer key soon. Students will be able to check the correct responses to questions asked in the entrance exam with the help of the NEET 2024 answer key and paper solutions. Further, NTA will release the NEET UG result 2024 on June 14.
NEET 2024 Exam: Gender- Wise Distribution
Overall, 96.94 per cent of students appeared in the NEET UG exam out of which 96.92 per cent were male, 96.96 female and 94.44 per cent were transgender candidates, as reported by Indian Express.

Reportedly, Rajasthan is the only state in the top five states with a maximum attendance list where no transgender student took the NEET UG exam. Rajasthan state was also in discussion because of mismanagement in the NEET UG exam. At the Girls Higher Secondary Adharsh Vidya Mandir exam centre, Hindi medium students were given question papers in the English language. Consequently, students forcefully went out of the NEET UG exam hall and allegedly reported for circulating the exam paper on the social media platform.
