The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the Candidate. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee, then the candidate may have to approach the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway (in the helpline number and e-mail given in the Information Bulletin) to ensure the successful payment or to obtain the refund of duplicate/multiple payments.

The NEET 2024 application fee can be submitted online only through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the 
examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator.

While creating the NEET 2024 registration password, candidates should keep in mind the following factors:

• It should be at least eight characters
• It should have at least one capital letter
• It should have at least one special character

After the creation of the password, candidates must save it and preserve it for future reference.  

Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own and/or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only.

Regarding the photograph, signature and finger and thumb impression upload, NTA has stated, "Please check your photograph and signature before submission of the Application Form. In case the photograph or signature is blurred or not visible to identify the identity of the candidate then, the application will be rejected and no option for correction or revision will be permitted. The Candidate has to upload only his/her own photograph, signature, Left and Right hand Fingers and Thumb impression, and certificate(s) as mentioned above (and not of anybody else) in a correct/proper manner, as the facility for correction will not be given in future."

NTA has laid down the following advisory regarding NEET 2024 application form document upload:

i. The recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
ii. Scanned photograph, signature, and Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impression should be in JPG format (clearly legible).
iii. The size of the scanned passport photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly legible).
iv. The size of the scanned Postcard photograph (4”x6”) should be between 10 kb - 200 kb (clearly legible).
v. The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible)
vi. The size of scanned and Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impressions as per the Template provided (Appendix-XVIII) should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
vii. The size of the scanned copy of the PwBD certificate/UDID (Swavlamban) card should be between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).

Applicants will have to enter the following details to login for the NTA NEET online form 2024:

There has not been any change in the NEET 2024 application fee. However, since the exam will not be conducted abroad, the fee for foreign centres of INR 9,050 has been removed.

The NEET 2024 application form has been released by NTA on February 9, 2024, at evening. The official website of NEET 2024 has been changed. 

NTA has not stated the exact timing of starting the NEET 2024 application process. Last year, NTA started NEET registration and application process on March 6, 2023, around 9 PM. 

The exact number of NEET 2024 exam centres will be announced by NTA along with the information brochure. Last year, the total number of exam centres was 4,097. This year, the number of centres is expected to be higher. The estimated number of NEET exam centres 2024 is around 5,000. 

NTA has not mentioned anything specific regarding the change in the NEET 2024 official website. However, there is a possibility of a change in the website URL or structure and navigation of the page. Hence, candidates should be prepared to visit a new URL for the NEET 2024 website.

As per various sources and media reports, the NEET 2024 registration process and application forms are expected to begin anytime soon. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website to get the notification. 

Online Transaction Password (OTP) generated on the NEET (UG) - 2023 website while registering/submitting the form will be valid for 15 minutes only. After the lapse of this period, candidates need to click on the link “RESEND OTP” to generate a new OTP.  

The facility of Scribe and/or compensatory time shall be granted solely to those having difficulty in writing or 40 per cent benchmark difficulty subject to the production of a certificate to the effect that the person concerned has limitation to write and that Scribe is essential to write the examination on his/her behalf from the competent medical authority of a Government healthcare institution. Compensatory time of not less than 20 minutes per hour of the examination should be allowed for persons who are eligible for getting a Scribe.

• The Counselling for successful candidates for Seats under 15% All India Quota and 100% including 85% State quota seats of Central Institutions (ABVIMS & RML Hospital/VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital/ESIC)/ Central Universities (including DU/ BHU /AMU)/ AIIMS/ JIPMER and Deemed Universities, will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS for Undergraduate Medical / Dental Courses.

MCC only does the registration for AFMC and forwards the data of registered Candidates to AFMC Authorities for the admission process. DU/BHU and other Universities may use the score for any other relevant courses being offered by them. 

The OCI Cardholder (including a PIO card holder) is a foreign national holding a passport of a foreign country and is not a citizen of India. Similarly, the PIO cardholder and foreign nationals shall not be eligible for admission against any seat reserved exclusively for Indian citizens.  Hence, OCI/PIO will be treated as foreigners and be eligible for NRI seats only and will not be eligible for Indian National Seats including paid seats of deemed universities.

The NEET 2024 application fee will be mentioned by NTA once the NEET form is out. Last year, the NEET exam fee was increased for each category, hence there is a chance of increase in the fee amount this year as well. It can be confirmed once the form is out. Any other Document issued by a Government Authority in the Country of Nationality of the Candidate (including OCI Card issued by the MHA or concerned Indian Diplomatic Mission in case of OCT Candidate only), wherein the Citizenship /Nationality of the Candidate, date of issue, Validity Period, place of issue and Issuing Authority of the Document, are clearly mentioned.

Apart from Indian Nationals, the following types of foreign nationals are eligible to apply and appear for NEET 2024:

Yes, there is a possibility that NTA will relaunch and revamp the NEET 2024 website. In that scenario, the URL of the NEET UG website for 2024 may also change.

According to a report by The Indian Express, an NTA official has stated that the NEET 2024 application form will be released tonight, or by tomorrow. 

Candidates will be able to choose as many as two states and corresponding cities in the NEET 2024 application form. However, NTA has the right to change or merge the exam cities in case there is less than minimum number of candidates in a city. "In case, the number of candidates opting for a city as centre with a regional language is less than a certain minimum, candidates may be allotted Centre in another city irrespective of the city opted by the candidates for appearing in the examination," NTA has stated.

In case there are multiple answers marked for one answer, in the NEET answer booklet, there is a chance that the answer will not be considered for evaluation, even if one of the selected answers is correct. Hence, candidates are advised to be careful in marking the answers on the OMR sheet of NEET 2024. 

The total marks in the NEET exam is 720. Each question carries four marks and there is a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. 

The total number of questions in NEET is 200. Out of this, candidates will have to attempt 180 questions. While all 35 questions are mandatory in Section A of each subject, in Section B, 10 out of 15 questions have to be attempted.

It is expected that like last year, NTA will provide an application correction window for NEET 2024 as well after the conclusion of the application process. Candidates can edit or correct the wrong details entered within the NEET application process within the stipulated dates.

No, candidates are not given the option to select medical courses or colleges while filling the NEET 2024 application form. This facility will be given to candidates during the NEET counselling registration process. In the NEET application form, candidates have to fill in the details regarding personal, communication, academic and NEET exam choice-related information. 

Candidates are advised to check and ensure that they fulfil the NEET 2024 eligibility criteria before filling up the NEET application form. While candidates will be able to submit the application form if they fill up the mandatory details, but during the verification process, if it is found out that the candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria, then his/her candidature will be cancelled. 

In case the NEET 2024 application fee amount is deducted from the account but there is no confirmation from NTA, candidates should wait for a while, or login again and check the application status. If it says incomplete, then they should complete the process. In case the payment process is incomplete but the amount is deducted, it will be refunded to the account. In case of further difficulty, they should contact the NTA Helpline to seek help. 

If the NEET application form is left idle for 30 minutes after logging in, the session will expire. In case the session expires due to loss of internet connection, then the form will be saved till the last completed section. In case candidates were in the middle of a section and it was not saved, then they will have to restart it. Unless candidates fill the NEET form at the last moment, they should not worry about the session expiry. Hence, candidates are advised to fill the NEET 2024 application form well on time and not wait for the last moment to complete it. 

There is no official confirmation regarding the release of NEET 2024 application form today. Some of the media reports have claimed the release of the NEET application form 2024 today as per a senior NTA official. 

Some of the common mistakes to avoid while filling the NEET 2024 application form are as follows:

• Not reading the instructions carefully before filling the registration and application form.
• Not providing correct information in the NEET application form, may lead to cancellation of candidature.
• Not uploading proper documents in the given format or dimension. Unless the documents are uploaded in proper format and dimension, the application process will not proceed.
• Not paying the application fee on time. Candidates often wait till the last moment to pay the NEET application fee and owing to technical glitches, they tend to miss the deadline, leading to an incomplete application. 

The NEET 2024 notification will be released tentatively by mid-February. NTA releases the NEET notification along with the information brochure and application form. However, NTA might release a notification announcing the NEET 2024 application dates in advance.

• Erasing/ obliterating any information printed on the OMR sheet is a punishable offence
• Rough work should be done on the test booklet only
• A Candidate must not forget to mark the test booklet code on the OMR sheet
