NEET 2021 Counselling Mop-up Round Choice Filling Begins on March 11

The choice filling process for the NEET 2021 Mop-up round has started today, on March 11. The registration process for the second last round had started on March 10. The last date to submit the choices is March 14, till 11.50 pm. The choice locking process will take place on March 14. Although the National Medical Commission (NMC) has not released the seat vacancy status for the Mop-up round yet, it is expected that it would be released soon.

How to Fill Choices for NEET 2021 Counselling

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to complete the choice-filling process:

  • Visit the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at www.mcc.nic.in.

  • Click on the ‘Online Registration’ tab located at the bottom of the page.

  • Log in with the registration credentials.

  • Click on the link of Choice Filling.

  • Select the programmes.

  • Go through the list of participating institutes and available seats.

  • Enter the choice of seats from the participating institutes as per preference on the basis of which seat will be allotted.

  • Check the entered choices carefully and submit.

  • Candidates can modify, add or remove as many colleges as they wish to during the choice filling process prior to the choice locking process.

Factors to Check Before Filling Choices

Candidates need to ensure the following factors before proceeding towards the Mop-up round choice-filling process:

  • The registration process along with registration fee payment.

  • A tentative list of institutes and programmes must be prepared in advance to save time during the actual process.

  • There is no restriction on the number of choices, but the entry must be done in the order of preference.

  • Candidates have to enter fresh choices as those filled during Round 1 and Round 2are now null and void.

  • Those who were allotted a seat in Round 2 but have not joined must fill in choice carefully for seats that are of higher preference than the earlier allotted seat.

After the submission and locking of choices, verification will be done by institutes/universities on March 15 and March 16. The seat allotment result of the NEET 2021 Mop-up round will be released on March 19. Candidates will have to report to institutes between March 20 and March 27.
