The NEET 2021 counselling Round 1 choice locking process has started today, January 24, from 4 pm onwards. Candidates will have to complete the process by 11.55 pm. Know the details here.

NEET 2021 Counselling Round 1 Choice Locking To Start at 4 PM

The NEET 2021 counselling Round 1 choice locking process has commenced on January 24, at 4 pm. The deadline to complete the choice locking process is 11.55 pm on the same date. The choice filling process had started on January 20 and will also end today at 11.55 pm. Prior to locking the choices, candidates must ensure that they have chosen the colleges carefully as modifications will not be allowed in the choice locking process.

How to Do Choice Locking Process for NEET Counselling 2021

Candidates have to follow the steps given below to complete the choice locking process:

  • Visit the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in

  • Click on the tab ‘Online Registration’ at the bottom of the page

  • Log in with the registration credentials

  • Click on the tab indicating Choice Filling

  • Check the entered choices carefully and submit

  • Click on the lock button

  • If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule

  • Take a printout of the locked choices

Instructions for Choice Locking Process of NEET Counselling 2021

Candidates must note the following points before the final choice locking process:

  • Pay the registration fee before proceeding towards the choice filling and locking processes

  • Male candidates must ensure that they do not select female-only colleges such as Lady Hardinge Medical Colleges, New Delhi; BPS Govt. Medical College for Women, Sonepat; Ahilya Bai College of Nursing, New Delhi, to name a few.

  • Once the choice locking process is completed, there will not be any option to revoke or change the choices. Hence, candidates must be careful during this process.

MCC will verify the details entered by the candidates from January 25 to January 26. The seat allotment process will be done from January 27 to January 28. The final seat allotment seat for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2021 will be declared on January 29. Based on the seat allotment, candidates will have to accept the offer and report to the institutes between January 30 to February 4.

Hi Prakhar! Since you've missed choice locking, chances are unlikely that you would be allotted seats in Round 1. You have to register for Round 2 and complete all the mandatory steps to get a seat allotted in the coming rounds. Also, contact MCC on this to see if there's a solution.
