NEET 2021 Counselling Round 1 Resignation Ends Today

The resignation process for Round 1 seat allotment of NEET 2021 counselling is scheduled to end today, i.e February 15, at 4 pm. Candidates who do not wish to take admission in the Round 1 must complete the resignation process within the schedule. Unless they complete the resignation process, they will not be eligible for participating in Round 2 of NEET 2021 counselling which will commence on February 16.

Those who have chosen for upgradation in Round 2 but if the seat is not upgraded after the seat allotment of Round 2, they will not be able to resign, and had to retain the seat. On the other hand, those who have reported and completed the admission process for Round 1 will not be eligible to resign from the seat. Hence, prior to proceeding toward the seat resignation process of Round 1, candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the criteria.

How to Resign Seats Allotted in NEET 2021 Counselling

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to complete the seat resignation process.

  • Visit the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.

  • Click on the ‘Online Registration’ tab from the bottom of the page.

  • Enter the login credentials.

  • Click on the tab indicating ‘Resignation’.

  • Enter the necessary information regarding the allotted seat.

  • Click on the agreement checkbox and final resignation tab.

Candidates must ensure that the Resignation Letter is generated online through the MCC portal by the allotted college, without which the resignation will be considered null and void. “In such a case, the candidate will be deemed to occupy the seat still, and rules of Round-2 will apply. Any letter other than Resignation Letter generated through online portal will not be considered as ‘Resignation Letter’,” MCC has stated.

The resignation window for Round 1 had started on February 5. The Registration process for Round 2 will commence on February 16 and end on February 21. The Round 2 seat matrix is expected to be released soon.
