NEET UG, JEE Main 2022 candidates to protest at Jantar Mantar on August 17

The NEET UG 2022 candidates have been protesting on social media platforms to get a second attempt at the entrance examination in wake of the several irregularities found in the exam. Also, JEE Main 2022 candidates are demanding a third attempt at the examination.

These candidates have now planned to launch a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on August 17, 2022. Students and education activists have called for protest for another attempt for NEET UG and JEE Main. The aspirants have been consistently launching online campaigns and urged the National Testing Agency (NTA) for one more session for these two entrance examinations.

The medical aspirants seek another attempt at NEET 2022 due to the various irregularities reported in the examination and they also want to improve their scores by giving another attempt as the aspirants had been demanding to postpone the examination as there was less time for preparation.

Many incidents were reported about NEET 2022 including the Kerala frisking incident where already a case is going on in Kerala High Court where the petitioner has sought a standard protocol for entrance examination throughout the county and also a re-examination for the victims who were allegedly asked to remove innerwear before entering the examination hall. Whereas, JEE Main 2022 aspirants are looking for another chance citing various technical problems that hampered the exam for several candidates, as reported by Zee News.

"We want to attract the attention of ministry and NTA on given issue, therefore we request you to permit us for protest on August 17, 2022, at 10 am," added the letter.
