NEET Result 2024 Out

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET UG re-revised scorecard 2024 on July 26, 2024. Students who appeared for the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test for undergraduates (NEET UG) can now check their scores, ranks and percentile obtained with the help of the NEET final scorecard 2024. NTA has also released the revised final NEET 2024 answer keys on the official exam website. The NEET 2024 final merit list is expected to be released shortly.

NEET UG re-revised scorecard 2024 will carry candidates' final scores (after revoking bonus marks), NEET UG percentile, All India Rank (AIR) and other personal details of the candidates. Along with these details, students can also check the gender, category, and state of the qualifying candidates. 

How to Download NEET UG Revised Scorecards 2024? 

Students can follow the below steps to download NEET scorecard 2024: 

  • Visit the official website - exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ or visit the direct link - https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/NEET2024SC25Revised.html
  • Click on the 'Download Re-Revised Scorecard (July 26)'  Link available on the home screen.
  • Enter application number, date of birth, email address/mobile number and security pin.
  • Check details in NEET scorecard 2024
  • Download NEET UG scorecard and save it for future reference. 

Types of NEET Merit List 2024

Students can check the types of NEET UG merit list 2024 and understand the differences from below: 

Overall NEET Merit List: This merit list includes the names and details of candidates who qualified the NEET examination. 

NEET AIQ Merit List: This merit list contains the names and details of candidates who would qualify for NEET result 2024. 

NEET State Quota Merit List: This merit list is prepared by every state individually for admission to 85% of state quota seats. 

The NEET revised merit list 2024 has affected the ranks of 44 exam toppers as the ranks slipped due to a change in the answer to one Physics question in the question paper. Students can download revised NEET merit list 2024 online from the NTA official website.

Q:   When did NTA release the official cutoff for NEET 2024?

A:

The official NEET 2024 cutoff was released by NTA along with the NEET 2024 result on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the scheduled date. However, the revised NEET 2024 cutoff was released on July 26, 2024, along with the re-revised scorecard and merit list. The NEET cutoff refers to the minimum score a candidate has to obtain to qualify for the NEET counselling process. The NEET cutoff 2024 increased from that of last year as the number of test takers is higher. The minimum marks to be scored by General category candidates to qualify is 164. However, the category-wise cutoff percentiles have remained constant. 

Q:   How will I know that I have scored above the NEET cutoff or not?

A:

The cutoff for NEET is released along with the result or the scorecard. The NEET cutoff or qualifying marks vary for each category, which are General, SC, ST, OBC and PwD/PH. Along with candidates' scores, percentiles and All India Rank (AIR), NTA also indicates the Qualifying Status of candidates in the scorecard. NTA also releases the NEET 2024 cutoff in the official notice along with the declaration of the NEET result. The qualifying cutoff for NEET 2024 is given below:

Q:   What is the cutoff for NEET?

A:

NTA re-released the NEET cutoff for 2024 on July 26, 2024, which states that two marks is reduced for each category as compared to the original NEET 2024 cutoff released on June 4, on the day of the result. As compared to last year, there has been an increase in the NEET cutoff across categories. The following table brings the NEET 2024 cutoff.

Q:   What is the NEET 2024 cutoff percentile for General category candidates?

A:

NEET 2024 cut off percentile for general category students is 50th percentile. Based on this, the NEET cutoff score 2024 for the General category is 162. The NEET 2024 cutoff for the General category candidates of the Physically Handicapped (PH) category candidates is 45 percentile. The subsequent NEET cutoff marks for this category is 144. Although the NEET cutoff percentile for the General category has remained the same, the cutoff score increased from that of last year. This is due to factors such as easier difficulty level, increased number of test-takers and intake.

Q:   What is the procedure to calculate the NEET percentile score?

A:

A percentile refers to the comparison between the score of one candidate vis-a-vis the other test takers. It is the percentage of scores that a particular score surpassed. NTA has stated the formula to calculate the NEET percentile, which is given below:

100 multiplied by the Number of candidates with their raw score equal to/ less than the candidate divided by the Total number of candidates who appeared for NEET. 

As per the NEET 2023 result data, the highest percentile obtained was 99.9999019.
