NEET UG Row: MoE Establishes High-Level Committee; Opens Suggestion Portal for Students, Parents

The committee, led by Dr K Radhakrishnan, the former chairman of ISRO, is seeking suggestions from all stakeholders, parents and students regarding reform of the examination process conducted through NTA by July 7, 2024. Check how to add suggestions and other details here.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) formed a high-level committee on June 22, 2024, in order to ensure transparent and smooth conduct of the national-level examinations. The committee is chaired by Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, Former Chairman of ISRO. The committee includes members from government organisations, academia and higher educational institutions who aim to reform the examination process and review the structure and operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Now, the committee is seeking suggestions and ideas from stakeholders, specifically from parents and students to share their suggestions on reform of the examination process conducted through NTA. Anybody can submit their suggestions to reform the examination process. However, the suggestion window for NTA reform is open till July 7, 2024 only. 

Areas Where Recommendation Required 

The committee seeks suggestions and ideas for the following aspects: 

  • Reforms in the process of the examination
  • Advancement in data security protocols
  • Structure and working of the National Testing Agency (NTA)

The Ministry of Education, on social media platform X, formerly Twitter shared "A high-level committee chaired by Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, Former Chairman of ISRO, was constituted on June 22, 2024. Comprising members from government organizations, academia, and higher educational institutions, the committee aims to recommend reforms in the examination process, enhance data security protocols, and review the structure and operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA)."
