While the exam date is nearing May 7, 2023, the demand to postpone NEET UG 2023 is growing among the candidates. The candidates are demanding exam deferment on the social media platform Twitter and #NEETUG2023POSTPONE, #postponeneetug2023tilljune, and #postponeneetug2023 are trending on Twitter.

The main reasons they are citing for this demand is that board exams have just got over and they have less time to prepare. Also, amid the harsh weather Covid-19 cases are rising.

After the pandemic, when the admission cycle got affected, each year this has been a trend where the candidates demand more time but the government says that they want the academic cycle to be back on track. It is yet to be seen how the government reacts to the students' demands.
