NIMHANS offers 3 months Certificate Course in ‘Social Work Practice in Psychiatric Disability Management’

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences is offering a three-month Certificate Course in ‘Social Work Practice in Psychiatric Disability Management’ from April 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024. Maximum 6 student intake in every batch. The fee is INR 9000 payable on selection (non-refundable, for three months).

Selection will be done based on eligibility. Interested candidates can send their applications via email or hard copy with the following documents - a page write-up on why you want to pursue the certificate course, bio data with a recent passport-size photograph, full postal address, Email ID/phone number, research and work experience related documents, if any.

Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria:

• The course is open to those who have obtained Master’s Degree in Social Work (full time), from a University recognized by UGC and approved by NIMHANS, securing not less than 55% marks in the aggregate of the Master’s Degree as a whole.
• Direct candidates, those deputed from other organizations and sponsored candidates from State/Central government /Armed forces/Other NGO’s can be admitted to the course.

"The candidates need to make their own accommodation arrangements. Limited hostel accommodation may be offered only on prior request and is subject to availability - contact NIMHANS academic section upon selection," reads the official notification. The selected candidates will be informed on March 22, 2024.
