All Medical Colleges/ Institutes and Assessors are requested to take cognizance of the Standard Operating Procedure given by the National Medical Commission.

NMC decides SOP implementation for exam evaluation process

The Post Graduate Medical Education Board of the National Medical Commission has decided to implement a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) with immediate effect to evaluate the examination process as a part of inspection for recognition/recognition against increased intake/renewal of recognition of course of qualification.

"The medical colleges/ institutes will conduct examination as per guidelines given in the PGMER in vogue and will keep a video record of the exam process and all relevant data about the examiners, examination process, details of the cases kept for the examination, thesis of the students etc. Henceforth there will not be physical or online inspection of examination process and Universities can go ahead with conduct of examination as per schedule," reads NMC's official notification.

Physical assessment of the medical colleges/ institutes will be done after the examination is over and will assess the college regarding the infrastructure, clinical material, investigative material and other facilities and examination details as mentioned above, added NMC.

MARB Guidelines for AY 2024-2025

In continuation of MARB Guidelines for the AY 2024-2025, the following points are brought to the notice of all Stakeholders/General Public for their awareness and information:

  • Any deficiency found in applications submitted(by the Medical Colleges/Institutions), at any point of time during the ongoing process, the applications will be rejected straight away.
  • Physical inspection does not provide any immunity to the Medical Colleges/Institutions with respect to any deficiency in the applications or AADHAR Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) data.
  • Updated MARB guidelines for the AY 2024-25 are subject to any further modifications/clarifications/instructions as issued by the commission from time to time.
