NMC, DHR develop Medical Shodhganga to help prospective postgraduates

The ICMR-Department of Health Research (DHR) in association with the National Medical Commission (NMC), has developed Medical Shodhganga, a thesis topics repository of Indian Medical Postgraduate theses to help prospective postgraduates in case of difficulties encountered while selecting thesis topics.

The repository may be accessed at the following web address: https://medshodh.icmr.org.in/.

The thesis topics included in the repository were solicited from the selected faculties & more than 1400 thesis topics in 24 specialities have been received and refined by a team of subject experts and ICMR scientists.

Applications for filling admission information to PG Broad Specialty courses open today

"All Medical Colleges/Institutes in India are hereby informed that the online portal for filling up the details of candidates who took admission in PG Broad Specialty courses shall be reopened from December 4 to December 7, 2023," reads NMC's notification.

After completion of the special stray round conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), DGHS and State Counselling Agencies for filling up the vacant seats of PG Broad Specialty courses, new candidates have been admitted to various medical colleges throughout India. NMC requested them to fill in the requisite data in the stipulated time. No physical/manual data will be accepted whatsoever is the reason, added the Commission.

NMC Latest Updates

Recently the logo of NMC has been changed. The commission has added the colour image of the Hindu god Dhanwantari, who is the god of healing and medicine. However, the medical fraternity including IMA has opposed this change.
