NMC invites applications from medical colleges for MBBS courses
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has invited applications from medical institutes for undergraduate MBBS courses, read here to know more.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice and invited applications for the undergraduate MBBS course, for starting of new medical colleges, an increase of seats and renewal of courses pending recognition for the academic year 2023-24 from July 21 to August 10.
The Medical Assessment and Rating Board of NMC has asked to submit applications along with the following documents:
- Essentiality certificate in the prescribed performa.
- Consent of Affiliation in the prescribed performa.
- Details of the Hospital.
For any queries, the colleges can send mail to ugmarb@nmc.org.in and they need to apply through an online portal with prescribed fees with GST.
Medical colleges asked to depute interns for health checks of school children
NMC has said that with the approval of Chairman NMC, the interns and PG students of medical colleges can be deputed for health checks up of school children whenever requested by the concerned state/UT govt authorities. NMC was replying to a letter by the Health Ministry that asked NMC to instruct the concerned officers to take necessary action to associate the medical and nursing students in the matter suggested by PMO that students of medical and nursing colleges can be associated to ensuring health check-ups in schools.
NMC's reply says, "I am directed to forward a copy of DO Letter No. 5-4/2020 MDM-1-1(EE.5) dated 27.06.2022 received from D/o School Education & Literacy (DoSEL). M/o Education on the above mentioned subject and it is requested to depute Interns and PG Student of your college to do the health chekup of school children, whenever requested by the concerned State/UT Govt. authorities."
