Prof Madhabananda Kar takes charge as AIIMS Jodhpur Executive Director

Prof Madhabananda Kar is the new Executive Director of AIIMS Jodhpur. He took charge on Monday and met all HoDs and administrative officials and appealed to all to remain aligned with the vision of the institute. He was also appointed as the Executive Director of AIIMS Darbhanga last year. 

Prof Madhabananda Kar, who was earlier appointed as the Executive Director of All India Institute Of Medical Science Darbhanga through the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approval, has now taken charge of the post of Executive Director of AIIMS Jodhpur.

AIIMS Jodhpur's tweet reads, "AIIMS Jodhpur family welcomes Prof Madhabananda Kar, taking charge as Executive Director & meeting HoDs and administrative officials. Appreciating growth, he appealed to all to remain aligned with the vision of the institute."

His previous work experiences include these - he worked as a Professor and Head of Surgical Oncology at AIIMS Bhubaneswar for almost 7 years. Prior to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, he was the Professor of Surgery and Head of Surgical Oncology at KIMS, KIIT University for more than 8 years.

Before Prof Madhabananda Kar, Prof Dr (Col) CDS Katoch was the Executive Director at AIIMS Jodhpur.

Department of Psychiatry at AIIMS Jodhpur to organise a workshop on Feb 24, 25

The Department of Psychiatry at AIIMS Jodhpur is all set to organise a - two days workshop on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders on 24-25 February 2023 with the support of speakers from NIMHANS. The workshop is for mental health professionals with a basic understanding and experience with psychotherapies. The registration fee is INR 2000. The total number of participants will be between 25 to 30 on a first come first serve basis.
