St George's University: Application open for 5-year medical degree pathway for Indians
The admission process for St George's University's 5-year medical degree pathway in India is comprised of three stages - Initial Review, Interview and Final Review. "Your Admission Officer and Admissions Coordinator will keep you updated about your progress and answer any questions you may have," said the university.
The St George's University (SGU) based in Grenada is offering a 5-Year MD Pathway for Indian medical aspirants. Interested candidates can apply on the official website sgu.edu/ramaiah. Candidates who have not taken the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam or Medical college admission test (MCAT) will also be eligible to apply for the course offered by SGU.
Eligibility Requirement for SGU's 5-Year MD Pathway
As per the university's notice, a minimum of 3 subjects with A’s and B’s in Biology, Chemistry, and either Math or Physics; Math or Physics can be accepted at AS level with strong non-science third A level. SGU recognizes and approves a range of science/medical pathway programs. Other requirements include a full IB diploma with a minimum score of 32 points; 3 HL science subjects recommended; minimum of 2 HL subjects required, which must include Chemistry and Biology; results 5 or higher. Also, India 10 2 or CBSE: Minimum of 80% average with no grade below 80% in Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, and English.
Also, students can opt for 6 and 7 year MD Pathway, for 6-year MD Pathway, the candidates must have a secondary school diploma with exceptional science performance with AP’s, SABIS High School. Also, AS Levels, Baccalaureate, South Africa Matric, Higher School Exam, and Irish Leaving Certificate. WASSCE: B2 or better in minimum of 6 subjects which include Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, and English.
For 7-year MD Pathway, IGCSE: Strong Science Performance B or better in minimum 6 subjects, which include Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, and English; Scores Vary by Region.
