Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch projects worth INR 11,300 crore during his visit to Telangana tomorrow. He will also inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bibinagar and lay the foundation stone for new state-of-the-art facilities at AIIMS Bibinagar. On his visit, the state health minister T Harish Rao said that the union government do less work but does more publicity. He also found fault with PM Modi for inaugurating a four-year-old AIIMS at Bibinagar.

He said that the AIIMS had been functioning for the last four years and there was no point to inaugurate the institution four years later.

“The BRS government has already launched eight medical colleges in Telangana and another nine colleges are going to launch this year. But, we haven’t made much publicity unlike the union government which works less but does much publicity,” Harish Rao pointed out, as reported by The Rahnuma.

With the strong measures taken up by the state government, Telangana has become a 'Healthy Telangana' (Arogya Telangana), said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday.

He said that the state has reached a stage where it has medical colleges, paramedical and nursing colleges in every district and the progress made by the state in the healthcare sector is a big inspiration to other states of the country.
