Tamil Nadu NEET 2024 Counselling Schedule Revised: Choice Filling Extended Till September 23; Seat Allotment Date
Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2024 round 2 choice filling last date has been extended till September 23, 2024, while the choice locking process will begin on September 20 at 10 AM onwards.
Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Chennai has announced the Tamil Nadu NEET round 2 counselling revised schedule 2024 at the official website. As per the revision, Tamil Nadu NEET UG round 2 counselling choice filling last date 2024 has been extended till September 23, 2024 (5 PM). Besides, students will be able to lock their preferred choices from September 20, 2024 (10 PM) onwards.
The authorities recently announced the extension of the choice-filling process owing to an extension by MCC for 15% AIQ seats. Now, the authorities have announced the Tamil Nadu NEET UG revised dates 2024 including choice filling and locking last date, seat allotment dates and admission last date. DMER Chennai is conducting the counselling process for admission in 85% state quota MBBS and BDS seats across Tamil Nadu state based on Tamil Nadu National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 scores.

"In view of the anticipated addition of seats, the choice filling for round 2 has been extended till September 23, 2024, till 5 PM. Choice locking for round 2 counselling will be enabled after September 20, 2024, at 10 AM. Further, the TN NEET round 2 provisional seat allotment results will be declared on September 25, 2024, and the final result will be out on September 26, 2024." Reads the official notification.

Q: When did NEET 2024 counselling process begin?
NEET 2024 counselling dates were announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on July 29, 2024. The counselling process started on August 14, 2024, and will conclude on December 30, 2024. NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 was conducted from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The Round 3 was conducted from October 2 to October 19, 2024. The Round 2 registration process began on September 5, 2024 and reopened from September 13 to September 16, 2024. The Round 1 was conducted from August 14 to August 31, 2024. MCC revised the dates on September 13, 2024, with the reopening of the registration process of Round 2 due to the change in seat matrix. As per the revised dates, the last date of the counselling is November 5, 2024. The number of rounds may get extended depending on the number of vacant seats. The state medical authorities will conduct the counselling process for the 85 per cent state quota seats. The dates for counselling were different for the national level and state level admission processes. There will be four to six rounds of NEET counselling, which is the gateway for admission to medical and allied courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BSc Nursing.
